      The Opportunity

      This position works out of our Alameda, CA office in the Lingo Division.

      The Head of Copy at Lingo will define and drive the voice of our brand. This is a role for a creative leader who thinks like a strategist, inspires as a storyteller, and uncomplicates ideas through words. They bring exceptional creative thought leadership and writing expertise to lead a team of copywriters, elevating the level of craft and impact across all our work. They approach every brief with fresh eyes. Avoiding familiar solutions, they’ll create and inspire work that is distinctive and effective by distilling complex ideas into effortlessly clear, compelling and culturally relevant copy.

      What You’ll Work On

      • Lead team of copywriters to craft copy that drives the adoption of Lingo across brand, content, and marketing touchpoints, including advertising, performance, web, CRM, blog, educational content, events and social media
      • Refine and expand the Lingo brand story, tone of voice, and brand guidelines. Develop detailed copy guidelines and channel-specific reference documents
      • Collaborate closely with cross-functional business partners to develop a content and messaging strategy across all channels and touchpoints
      • Partner with designers to develop compelling, innovative concepts that reflect the brand voice while considering stakeholder feedback and requirements
      • Inspire and embrace challenges and new ways of thinking
      • Edit and proofread to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content
      • Promote brand consistency across all company communications

      Required Qualifications

      • 8+ years of combined in-house and agency copywriting experience
      • A compelling portfolio of work that demonstrates high quality copywriting, clever headlines, and concepting experience within a variety of advertising campaigns and digital content
      • Expertise in writing thought-provoking headlines, film scripts and UX content for websites and apps
      • Experience building and leading creative or copywriting teams
      • A combination of strategic, conceptual and storytelling skills
      • Excellent writing, grammar and proofreading skills
      • A collaborative spirit, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      • Excellent time-management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
      • A collaborative, optimistic, motivated, and empathetic personality
      • Ability to untangle complexity into clear, concise and engaging copy
      • A drive to break boundaries and craft the best ideas in the world of their kind
      • Fearlessly creative and relentlessly attentive to detail

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
      • A Master’s degree is a plus.
      • Familiarity with the health tech industry is a plus

      $128,000.00 – $256,000.00
