      Head of Core Banking Transformation

      Team/Position Overview

      Treasury and Trade Solution (TTS) is part of Citi’s Services organization. TTS is a leading provider of cash management, treasury, trade, clearing, depository receipts and commercial cards services. TTS has a global network spanning more than 100 countries and is unique in the industry for its reach, interoperability and flexibility. We provide clients with dynamic information, tools, and APIs to effectively manage their portfolios, financial positions, working capital and supply chains.

      One of the key functions within Services is Core Banking which is responsible for capabilities such as a DDA, payments, liquidity, billing, statements and digital channels. Core Banking Product and Technology teams are undergoing a multi-year transformation tackling eCommerce-scale growth programs; retirement of the legacy infrastructure; and building out next generation, best-in-class set of capabilities that will evolve as our Client, Market and Regulatory needs across the globe, with multiple critical, high profile programs in flight.

      This individual will drive the end-to-end transformation across Citi’s largest markets, which will include simplification and rationalization of the Core Banking platforms, capabilities and business processes and evolution into a strategic target state. The role is equal parts SME, Thought Leader and Execution Driver. The position requires a senior candidate with exceptional leadership and communication abilities combined with knowledge and/or experience of Core Banking and associated business processes. The role will report directly to the Global Product Head of Core Banking and will partner closely with various Product and Technology teams, Operations and critical support functions.

      Responsibilities:

      • Chair Stakeholder engagement/management at senior most levels across Product, Technology and Operations and across lines of businesses
      • Create and drive product and technology roadmaps, which include rationalization and standardization of capabilities, data and business processes and transition of clients to eliminate legacy infrastructure and achieve business case commitments
      • Manage a large book of work & planning and drive an agile mindset and a capacity approach
      • Drive transformation programs across multiple geographies simultaneously
      • Own solving for critical problem statements both globally and at the market level
      • Responsible for driving a culture of inclusion, diversity and engineering excellence across the group: a collaborative environment where everyone can bring their authentic self to work, modern engineering practices, adoption of open source and open standards, automation and tooling, collaboration and efficiency

      Experience:

      • Experience leading large multi-year technology transformation initiatives, specially focused on legacy transformations
      • Strong background in B2B Product Strategy, Development and Management
      • Deep expertise in a complex technology ecosystem in a large organization, establishing and leading strong product and engineering teams
      • Experience driving software delivery transformation through Agile practice and process, with a focus of establishing continuous delivery, culture and process
      • Master at collaboration and leading cross functional teams globally

      Skills/Qualifications:

      • 15+ years in B2B Product in Financial Services
      • Enterprise architecture mind-set with ability to solve a problem in more than one way, so as to make progress towards a desired target state, with continuous evaluation and course correction along the way
      • Exceptional communicator who loves working with people, confident communicating at all levels from an individual team to the entire enterprise and is not afraid to challenge status quo
      • Well-developed oral and written communication skills (especially PowerPoint) and able to effectively use internal collaboration platforms to communicate across the group

      Education:

      • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
