      POSITION SUMMARY:

      MassMutual’s Corporate Finance organization is continuing its organizational transformation through:

      • Redesign of processes, systems and experiences to operate more effectively and efficiently.
      • Creating greater access to data to make better informed decisions.
      • Positioning the Finance organization to provide thought leadership and advice to stakeholders across the enterprise.

      The organization is looking for a motivated and adaptable individual who will serve as Head of Corporate Finance Strategic Delivery. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is integral to managing the execution and evolution of the organization’s vision, specifically in terms of leading directed program oversight and improvements as well as self-directed change management and increasing stakeholder engagement. This role will lead the communications of the organization’s objectives and strategic plan as well as overseeing key department projects and developing continuous improvement, “lean” mindset.

      Comfortable leading and influencing across the organization and company, the successful candidate will be a coach, implementer, collaborator, and communicator. This role is a unique opportunity for an individual to work with senior leadership and experience a holistic view to the enterprise while influencing and collaborating with a critical corporate function in its strategic delivery.

      JOB DESCRIPTION:

      Corporate Finance – Strategic Delivery, Engagement and Communications (30%)

      • With CFO and SLT, champion Corporate Finance vision, strategic framework, and objectives to align with future of finance and enterprise strategic aspirations, as well as enhance CFO organizational and operational effectiveness
      • Collaboratively champion connecting goals from enterprise to Corporate Finance strategy framework into communications, program management, execution, and engagement across Finance
      • Understand points of intersection and drive awareness of upcoming deliverables, events, resource planning, and other interdependencies/issues
      • Lead Corporate Finance department communications and engagement, including change management (i.e. issues raised in employee survey, etc.)
      • Proactively propose thematic agendas for, but not limited to: All Employee Meetings, CFO Summit, Senior Leadership Team offsite meetings, SLT Huddles, Lunch and Learns, Corporate Finance Employee Advisory Group, reporting to Executive Leadership Team and CEO
      • Maintain CFO Connections page fostering stronger alignment across the function and as a central resource for strategy, project, and communications material as well as templates, tools, and other resources
      • Partner with CFO SLT to gain stakeholder feedback in 2 annual finance customer surveys
      • Maintain dashboard of Corporate Finance progress on CFO priorities and KPIs

      Program Management & Process Improvement (25%)

      • Lead program management of key initiatives across Corporate Finance, inclusive of portfolio governance and in alignment with budget and timely deliverables
      • Produce regular and timely portfolio overview to ensure Senior Leadership Team awareness of progress and challenges; actively partner to timely address challenges

      Continuous Improvement (25%)

      • Lead strategic assessments to identify and quantify process improvements, waste elimination, and cost reduction , using capability and process mapping; present actionable insights
      • Establish appropriate methodology and techniques with continuous improvement best practices; teach, lead and coach using these techniques
      • Communicate, teach, collaborate and partner with leaders to identify and set continuous improvement goals after assessing operational effectiveness, capacity utilization, and operating costs
      • Co-create execution plans and roadmaps

      Metrics & Measurement (20%)

      • Build and maintain metrics and visualization to support tracking of Corporate Finance priorities and initiatives for the SLT to jointly manage progress in a modern dashboard to enable resource decision making and enhance customer satisfaction
      • Infuse metrics into quarterly strategy discussions for review and action as well as ongoing communications for awareness and employee morale
      • Leverage data and measurement to position positive progress

      Required/desired skills:

      • Collaborative leader that drives consensus across senior leadership in Corporate Finance
      • Passion for not being satisfied with status quo, motivated to pursue positive change and work with others to facilitate change
      • Excellent written/verbal communication across all levels and functions; ability to help articulate reasons for change as well as how to effect the change
      • Organization and prioritization skills; analytical; ability to build story
      • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or other relevant knowledge/credentials desired

      Salary Range:

      $167,800.00-$220,200.00
