      What's in it for you?
Data is at the heart of our transformation, it is quite simply critical as we use data to:

      - Support our customer journey’s from learning and shopping for a vehicle, using the vehicle and ultimately exchanging it
      - Define and monitor the manufacturing capabilities we need around the world
      - Manage and optimize our complex world-wide supply-chains
      - Remotely monitor vehicle performance, detecting and resolving issues and continuously improving the quality of the vehicles we produce
      - Improve the end-to-end sustainability of our business

The mission of the central data & analytics (D&A Core) team is to Transform the data ecosystem to empower our colleagues with trusted data, which supports the Volvo Data Vision of Powering innovation and every decision with trusted data. To support this mission, D&A Core has 5 core areas: Strategy & Transformation, Solution Partners, Platforms, Architecture, and Data Governance, working to provide what is required to enable data and analytics teams across the organization to deliver value from data, whilst promoting a culture of collaboration and data excellence.

The principle aim of the role is to increase confidence and trust in data across the organization through the design, implementation, and management of an effective Data Governance Framework.

      What you’ll do
In this role, you will be responsible for the initial design of a DAMA and industry best practice-aligned framework commensurate with the scale, complexity, and needs of Volvo Cars. Once designed the framework is to be established and developed to adapt to the organization's changing needs.

You will create and handle the Data Governance framework for Volvo Cars, aligned to DAMA principles and industry best practices, and establish appropriate risk management connections to Volvo Cars’ enterprise risk management framework. Part of your responsibilities will be to create and coordinate the data quality service and a team of data governance/quality specialists. Summarizing, you will be responsible for the delivery of the data governance change plan across Volvo Cars.

      Who you are:
We’re looking for you, who have 10+ years of Data Governance definition/delivery experience. You are familiar with developing and implementing Data Governance frameworks in large complex organizations and have technical knowledge spanning Data Governance/Management technologies. We see you possess knowledge of the Data Management Association (DAMA) framework, particularly the development and application of Data Governance frameworks, and have a good understanding of Data Literacy. In addition, you know enterprise risk management practices within a regulated industry.

As a person, you are a self-directed learner and self-starter person, able to work effectively without supervision/direction. You possess change leadership skills, are able to set an agenda and convince others to follow, and have a proven ability to influence people and challenge the status quo. Last but not least, you demonstrate effective stakeholder management skills at all levels, with good written and oral communication skills.

The position is located in Gothenburg.
