      Job Description Summary :

      Havas South Africa is hiring for the Media Business!

      The Head of Digital is responsible for developing and deploying best practices for digital media experiences. S/He implements a standard way of developing a digital media plan and standard format for media plans within the Havas Media Group.
      The role sits between Strategy and Activation and is the point where Strategy is translated into Media Experiences for clients.
      The role is the keeper of the Digital Media Experience plan structure, negotiation and delivery.

      Job Description :

      Mission & Responsibilities

      Digital Media Experience best practices

      - Lead & embody the Media Experience (Mx) excellence on Digital

      - Champion Havas unique approach to ‘media planning +’ in the form of Mx –emphasizing media experience versus media planning which includes connection, context and content

      - Work closely with data and strategy communities as well as client leadership and specialists’ teams

      - Build relationships with creative / content stakeholders and key media owners to ensure optimized and innovative Digital Media Experiences recommendations

      - Contribute to the client satisfaction

      - Ensure optimal Mx delivery with your project management skills

      - Ensure audience planning and data integration from Mx brief to Mx measurement

      Digital Media Experience ownership

      - Be responsible for building Digital Media Experience for our client portfolio

      - Create optimal Mx, defined as Connection x Context x Content

      - Work with Audience Architect to develop the growth target persona all the way through the media experience – for inclusion in planning tools, into buying audiences and into addressable segmentation

      - Allocate budget across channels based on audience and objective in conjunction with econometrics and attribution specialists

      - Recommend optimum content and context based on client, brief and strategy

      - Deliver overall experience and articulation of how channels work together

      - Input measurement framework, including KPIs and methodology in conjunction with specialists and measurement teams

      - Champion Activation on digital channels, by selecting Partners, using relevant decision frameworks (MRP, MDM) to define placements and manage campaign flighting

      - Negotiate with relevant media partners

      - Supervise smooth running of campaigns respecting deadlines

      - Ensure client satisfaction on the campaign delivery and performance

      - Be accountable for reaching the target objectives/productivity plan, driving the buying and trading teams

      - Provide insightful post campaign optimization

      Previous Experience & Industry Background

      8+ years professional experience in digital media / strategic planning

      Media, Brand

      Qualifications & Languages:

      Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing or Advertising

      Languages: English
