      Your Role

      • define, align and support the implementation of the SMT digital transformation strategy and establish a governance and ways of working that ensure that the digital strategy evolves

      • foster active technology-trend-scouting in digital innovation areas

      • translate complex interrelations around digital transformation and data from business and technical perspective to the needs of the corresponding stakeholders and communicate appropriately

      • leading organizational change efforts by identifying obstacles to change and developing plans to overcome them

      • oversee data utilization for SMT digital end-to-end value chain, digital customer and supplier interaction and internal purposes

      • build and maintain active link to senior management and data experts within SMT functions, ZEISS business supporting functions to assure aligned concepts & approaches

      • ensure representation of SMT on the digital topics across different external platforms to position SMT rightfully as an attractive and modern place to work

      Your Profile

      • advanced degree in computer science, information communication technology, natural sciences, or industrial engineering with IT/digitalization focus

      • several years of working experience on (digital) business strategies - ideally in different industries – and transformative programs such as implementation of large-scale process improvements / change management

      • multiple year working experience with intense stakeholder management (senior executives, product management, R&D and IT-related functions), ideally in an international work environment and matrix organization

      • management experience for smaller teams and/or team leads

      • comprehensive IT/data understanding (esp. domain expertise in data management & governance and related frameworks, experience with databases & cloud platforms)

      • ability to get into new things and to comprehend complex concepts quickly

      • coordination skills, good communication skills and ability to assert oneself

      • result orientation and willingness to take decisions in complex team governance as well as capability to build networks
