      As a Head of Editorial you will develop high-impact client-centric content for J.P. Morgan Payments. You will play a critical role on the global content team and will lead a v-team of colleagues across content, communications, creatives, media relations, events and channels as well as ownership of the editorial calendar and editorial content ecosystem. You will have a proven track record of leading big brand moments and producing timely, relevant and buzzworthy content for key audiences across multiple channels – with metrics to show for it.

      You are creative and strategic and approach storytelling with sharp angles, originality and points of differentiation. You will be part of a global publication and platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver stories that allow our brand to make meaningful connections with audiences.

      Job Responsibilities

      • Oversee editorial strategy and create, plan and deliver editorial content to support global and regional campaigns, and key launches or announcements
      • Tailor and localize content for target audiences across a wide range of company sizes, industries and geographies
      • Create, plan and execute newsroom-style content
      • Own and manage the editorial calendar with short and long-tail views of editorial content, thought leadership, news, planned press activity, events, partnerships, and campaign launches
      • Partner with other marketing leaders and build an internal network and v-team of colleagues — including press, media relations, channel owners, content strategists, campaign managers, and product, industry, and regional marketing leads — to source and bring to life the most interesting narratives and stories from across the organization
      • Provide strategic direction to a diverse slate of writers and channel experts on story angles, outlines and story structure and be comfortable providing constructive feedback
      • Own the editorial process and resources, to drive consistency in messaging and delivery (playbooks, templates, editorial style guides, editorial calendar

      Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities

      • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, or equivalent required.
      • Minimum of 8 years' of experience in marketing, publishing, or newsroom with increasing levels of seniority and responsibility
      • At least 3 years’ experience working with writers, editors, content creators, strategists and third-party agency relationships. Passion and interest for editorial content and storytelling with experience in financial services, payments or technology a plus
      • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to use storytelling to influence decisions, foster collaborative relationships, and effectively partner across teams, functions and levels
      • Demonstrated writing and editing skills across a variety of content types and formats. You live for punchy copy and headlines that drive action
      • Excellent writing, copyediting and fact-finding skills. You love driving consistency, can own a house style guide, and would lose sleep over missing punctuation
      • High level of creative thinking and problem solving, bringing a diverse perspective that makes content stand out

      Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities

      • Experience with project management and production tools (Office, Teams, Martech and analytics tools, Workfront)
