Operate as a member of the WREF Leadership Team and collaborate with Regional peers as well as the Centre of Excellence (CoE) to identify opportunities to improve service delivery across WREF.
Participate in the development and delivery of WREF’s strategic plans, goals, and objectives, ensuring alignment with the One WREF ethos and GSK business.
Overall regional accountability for service delivery, including services delivered though our suppliers, within real estate, capital, soft and hard services. Ensure all sites within the region deliver service standards as set within the central CoE.
Lead all aspects for Facilities Management (FM) and Capital delivery to office sites across the EMEA region. Implement and utilize service best practice systems and processes to increase services capability and drive increased satisfaction and performance.
Oversee Real Estate transactions for all GSK sites within the EMEA region, managing critical dates and proactively working with the CoE to identify strategic opportunities to increase value through our real estate footprint.
Cultivate trust-based business relationships within WREF, the GSK business lines and global functions, and industry to ensure WREF’s service solutions respond to business need and industry best practice.
Assume full accountability for the delivery of Regional OPEX and CAPEX budgets, ensuring financial acumen across their organisation and responsibility for budget delivery with their reporting teams.
Ensure all internal policies and procedures are adhered, as well as all local governmental and regulatory requirements.
Manage and own regional operational risk, CAPA and deviations. Represent the region at risk forums including RMCB.
Develop and grow a diverse professional team of 3rd party providers accountable for the delivery of a world class end to end Real Estate and Facilities function within EMEA region.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Business, Real Estate or Facilities related discipline
Broad Corporate Real Estate expertise with specialist knowledge in at least one discipline area (e.g. Real Estate, Capital Projects, Operations).
Significant experience in a Corporate Real Estate leadership role with a proven track record leading geography dispersed teams.
Deep understanding of contemporary best practice in the delivery of workplace experience and the future position of the workplace in the context of a hybrid work environment.
Operational experience managing risk and applying standards to ensure compliance within a corporate real estate environment.
Outstanding managerial skills and leadership abilities in order to motivate and influence senior executives and managers in a demanding and rapidly evolving environment.
Ability to think and act strategically and initiate and engage in long term planning.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and persuasive skills to successfully interact with senior stakeholders internal and external to GSK.
Strong ability to act as a motivator of change and influence without authority.
Ability to work cross functionally including: across WREF, Tech, HR etc.
Strong business and financial acumen, manages WREF cost centers, OPEX and CAPEX budgets.

WREF is the global team that is responsible for the full lifecycle of planning, execution and operations of GSK’s real estate portfolio. This includes defining the organisation’s real estate and workplace experience strategy across our network of over 250 manufacturing, R&D and office facilities; as well as leveraging our network of vendor partners to ensure delivery facility management and capital project services to GSK’s global office portfolio. The team is set up in a matrixed operating model where a Centre of Excellence (CoE) is responsible for service strategy and process ownership, and Regional teams are responsible for executing WREF’s services.
Reporting to the Head of Worldwide Real Estate and Facilities (WREF), the WREF Head of EMEA leads a team responsible for the delivery of all services to our EMEA portfolio, ensuring cost, quality and compliance metrics are achieved. The role provides senior leadership and direction to the regional organisation, delivering a coherent, joined up approach to service delivery and aligning to our customers business strategy. The WREF Head of EMEA is a key member of the Global WREF Leadership Team contributing to and supporting WREF’s objectives and ambitions.
