      ANDRITZ Nonwoven is looking for Head of Engineering to coordinate all engineering activities for LYOCELL PRODUCTION LINES.


      ANDRITZ Nonwoven is one of the leading technology group in many manufacturing processes for nonwovens. We provide state-of-the-art technologies and unique expertise in the installation of complete nonwovens lines. Our brand name "nonwoven eXcellence" stands for certified high-quality performance from forming to finishing: integrated solutions for Needlepunch, Wetlaid, Spunlace and Nonwoven & Textile Calenders. ANDRITZ Nonwoven also contains machinery technology for the nonwovens converting business e.g., diapers, femcare and PPE products.


      Products made on ANDRITZ Nonwoven solutions are found in many kinds of end-uses applications, such as automotive, carpeting, filtration, roofing, synthetic leather, hygiene, medical, cosmetics, cleaning and many more. Manmade cellulosic (MMCFs) are regenerated fibers usually made from the dissolved wood pulp or “cellulose” of trees. Viscose, lyocell, and modal are all kinds of manmade cellulosic. They are plant-based, renewable, and so have the potential to be a climate-friendly material if the wood is sourced sustainably and the processing chemicals are handled properly.

      Head of Engineering-positions key responsibilities and tasks:
      • Cross-organizational coordination of engineering activities within the ANDRITZ Group for complete production lines
      • Organize, lead, and develop the global engineering team - Lyocell -
      • Responsible for the direction and further development of the teams: Mechanical Design, Plant Engineering, and Electrical Engineering
      • Steer, control, and approval of the entire engineering (technical layouts, drawings, and specifications)
      • On-schedule, on-budget, and on-quality processing of engineering tasks
      • Plan, manage and control the engineering processes and projects.
      • Develop industrial, customer-specific plant solutions.
      • Focus on implementation of most cost-efficient design (design to cost)
      • Support R&D department regarding design topics
      • Support purchasing department to improve supply chains.
      • Continuous improvement of our machine and plant engineering.
      • Optimize processes, performance, and procedures in connection with our machines and plant solutions.
      • Professional interaction with our technical centers as well as customers and suppliers
      • Technical support in the sales and project handling phase
      • Implement training measures for the continuous development of the local engineering team.
      • Very close cooperation with development and product management
      • Secure that all divisional and Andritz policies and duties are fulfilled for the related product group.
      • Continuous optimizing of existing process and procedures
      • Comply with all relevant company and statutory health and safety procedures and guidelines.

      We are looking for candidates with the following experience & expertise:

      • University Degree in mechanical engineering
      • You have a relevant professional experience in nonwovens, viscose, cellulose fibre. Product knowledge in the pulp or nonwoven industry as well as in-depth knowledge in plant engineering
      • You have experience working in international and cross-cultural environment, pereferably in a position as Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager
      • You have knowledge of technical standards and guidelines
      • You have experience of using Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault, AVEVA, Comos and MS-Office
      • You have a control of external, worldwide service providers for the execution of engineering tasks
      • You take ownership for your performance. Your working methods are structured and careful.

      You have strong interpersonal skills and ability to network and collaborate with different stakeholders on all organizational levels and with different cultural backgrounds.

      • You have personal experience on demanding problem-solving situations.

      You are excellent in written and spoken English – other languages are an asset.
      • You have ability and willingness to travel regulary.

      Location of this job can be any ANDRITZ location in Europe.
