      The purpose of this role is to create, own and track the development strategy to ensure company growth aligned with the long-term company strategy through people and process development and improvement.

      Key responsibilities:
      Provides visibility on the development strategy, progress and deliverables
      Brings in industry standards of software development best practices and implements them effectively
      Responsible for overall customer satisfaction from software development point of view
      Solid influencer in communication with different parties within and outside the organisation
      Acquires all the resources needed for assuring the best performance of the team
      Leads initiatives related to optimisations in various areas (processes, tools, approaches)
      Minimum third line people manager, acts as communication bridge and escalation point for the team
      Proactively identifies issues in the team and formulates strategies to resolve them
      Identifies and highlights software development risks and provides mitigation plans
      Supports high achieving talent and advice on poor performers; sets objectives to direct reports and empowers their accomplishment. Monitors progress
      Owns hiring decision-making in the software development team
