      Head of Finance Operations

      Salary between £100,000 - £125,000

      We are currently recruiting for a Head of Finance Operations, to be a part of our Finance and Investments Operations function and to provide outstanding operational delivery through Accounts Payable, Treasury and Collections (APT&C) for the Aviva Group. We are flexible on location but the role requires travel to our Norwich office.

This role will provide you with the chance to define and implement changes, as you will look after the management, control, and optimisation of all monies in and out processes through good discipline, efficient process and forward-thinking technology for all markets (UK General Insurance, Life, Health etc, Group, Ireland General Insurance and Life, Aviva Investors and Canada).

      A bit about the job:

      As the Head of Finance Operations, you will lead and develop an impactful Shared Service Centre for Accounts Payable, Collections, Banking and Payments to internal Aviva Stakeholders. You will lead a large team of c. 45 onshore FTE across the global finance function and their associated budgets, with management oversight for offshore resource (c. 240).

      Development and continuous improvement of operational/financial control oversight aligned to the target operating model for your team and material outsource providers, will be required in the role along with being accountable for ensuring effective business continuity plans are in place to support an operationally critical department. You will look after the personal expense policy and ensuring this is adhered to, deliver outstanding change to the operations area and take operational ownership of related data repositories and other relevant operational systems on behalf of Finance.

      Skills and experience we’re looking for:

      • Experience with operating in a regulatory and commercial environment – Insurance or Financial Services is highly desirable

      • Strong financial acumen, commercial awareness, analytical skills and the ability to lead both complexity and volume of demand

      • Change management consulting skills - experience with/heavily involved with high-level process change

      • Exceptional leadership, combined with highly tuned interpersonal, influencing and communication skills

      • Excellent stakeholder leadership skills both internally and externally; senior level influencing, relationship management and consulting

      • Salary between £100,000 - £125,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
