- Set strategic direction within Hydro Mechanical disciplines for Statkraft to ensure profit optimisation, safe operations and value driven innovation
- Shape, promote and support implementation of efficient and effective mechanical governance for hydropower across Statkraft
- Ensure active O&M support on mechanical disciplines, ad-hoc expertise to O&M planning, supervision, and execution
- Provide unified approach to supplier market and supplier / products prequalification within Mechanical disciplines
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and development of employees
- Higher relevant education within Mechanical disciplines, preferably at Master´s level
- Operational experience and commercial understanding
- Good insight in hydropower production technologies, drivers within the energy market and its impact on the production system
- Management experience from the energy sector
- High personal integrity and ethical standards with strong HSSE understanding and commitment
- Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English

Job Description
We are looking for a new Head of our Hydro Mechanical department within Statkraft’s Technology and Process Group. You will have the opportunity to lead a highly competent team and further develop it as our global center of gravity for the key mechanical disciplines within the Hydropower production system. This is a great opportunity to take a central role in an exciting renewable company with a high growth strategy – including setting standards for operation & maintenance of assets, refurbishment projects and new developments, as well as drive innovation and evolving the capabilities of new and existing Statkraft assets.
The unit delivers safe and value driven governance through being the owner of technical requirements across Business Areas (Nordics, Europe and International). The team provides expertise support to operating assets, fosters continuous improvement, advises on best practises, promotes change and innovation, and drives knowledge sharing across the organisation and industry forums. In addition, the department provides important development support to a growing portfolio, such as technical design, O&M scope, FAT and quality assurance.
Areas of responsibility and accountabilities:
You will be responsible for a team of Subject Matter Experts within the mechanical disciplines, managing the organisational and professional development of the team.

The role reports to VP Technology & BDS (NTT) and is a member of the NTT leadership team.
