  ISS STOXX is growing! ISS STOXX seeks a Head of Index operations to Join the Mumbai Team.

  Within this construct we are now seeking to hire a Senior Leader to oversee a broad range of index operations activities and develop a client-centric and quality-focused culture. While being a predominantly Run Focused role, the position also offers significant opportunities to display leadership in Operating model, Technology and organizational design change initiatives.

  Responsibilities:

  For our office in India (Mumbai), We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as a Senior Index Operations Manager based in Mumbai. This key role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including overseeing Calculation services, leading Data Research initiatives, managing a talented team, and ensuring the seamless administration of our indices from initial launch through lifecycle management. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our index products while driving innovation and efficiency within the operations team.

  This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate with a strong background in index management, a deep understanding of financial markets, and excellent leadership skills, to join a high-performing team while actively driving the build out of our Mumbai presence.

  Your Specific Objectives will include

  • Drive build out of ISS index Operations function in Mumbai, directly managing local resources where required and acting as regional manager for the overall Operations function.

  • Work in partnership with multiple senior level stakeholders and cross functional teams, to identify, assess, evaluate, and implement change projects/portfolios

  • Lead and drive projects along with developing comprehensive project plans in co-ordination with local and offshore line managers

  • Comfortable in operating model design and material risk assessments for migration of roles from various locations across globe to Mumbai

  • Track team performance, specifically to analyze SLAs/KPIs, and the successful completion of short- and long-term goals

  • Preparing weekly/ monthly dashboards and provide update to senior management highlighting progress on strategic KPIs, risks, challenges and dependencies to relevant stakeholders.

  What you bring to ISS STOXX :

  • Strong stakeholder / client management skills i.e. ability to liaise and coordinate with senior management i.e. Product, Engineering, Finance, etc.

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to connect with diverse audiences, ranging from highly technical partners to business clients

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to think logically to address business problems

  • Ability to establish credibility and build strong, confident, collaborative relationships with business and technology partners including third parties, at all levels

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines without compromising quality

  • Results driven, self-motivated, problem solving, and solutions oriented; takes pride in their work

  • Demonstrates a can-do attitude, exhibits self-confidence, leadership, and adaptability to business change

  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, presentation, and time management skills; ability to manage business expectations

  • 15+ years of relevant work experience in product ownership/ business analysis / operations in banking or financial domain

  • Extensive experience leading operations teams in the financial industry, some specifically active on Index Operations: Rebalancing, Calculation reporting, Corporate Action processing, etc

  • Experience in addressing Data Platform challenges and developing local solutions where required

  • Strong track record of delivering successful projects and initiatives in a large, high-profile, and sophisticated global organizations

  • Experience of working in a regulated environment.
