      Head of Investment Strategy and Propositions

      We have a unique opportunity for an investment leader to join our growing Wealth Investment area as Head of Investment Proposition. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants ownership of investment strategy and proposition design and lead a team of investment professionals to help Aviva’s Wealth business meet its ambitious goals.

      In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.

      A bit about the job:

      The role will be responsible for investment strategy across Aviva’s Wealth business in the UK, and for providing leadership and direction to the business’ workplace and retail investment proposition teams to ensure Aviva provides market leading investment solutions to its customers.

      Additionally, you will:

      • Lead the design, development and implementation of workplace and retail investment propositions, including competitive analysis and product positioning, whilst ensuring clarity on strategic direction and innovation
      • Responsible for ongoing governance of the investment propositions, including maintaining the market integrity of the investment solutions
      • Responsible for identifying emerging market opportunities and trends to drive innovation, future proposition development and marketing plans, meeting customer needs and adhering to regulatory principles and regulation
      • Lead the team to build market presence through working with Employee Benefit Consultants, advisers, presenting at industry events and engaging with the media

      Skills and experience we’re looking for:

      • An experienced leader with a strong track record of delivering marketing leading investment propositions
      • Significant knowledge of institutional and retail investment propositions with strong understanding of the UK pensions and savings market landscape.
      • Gravitas and credibility, dealing with and influencing internal and external stakeholders at all levels with confidence. Skilled internal and external communicator with strong external presentation and speaking abilities.
      • Customer focused, driven and passionate with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
      • Good understanding of investment markets, asset classes, fund types, asset management techniques and styles, including a strong understanding of ESG
