      JOB TITLE: Head of Jaguar Land Rover Financial Services

      SALARY: £99,935 - £117,570 (National)

      LOCATION(S): Flexible

      HOURS: Full time

      WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites (namely Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester, or London), with regular travel to the others.

      Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is Lloyds Banking Group’s single largest corporate client and the largest, most valuable partnership for our Transport business. Our comprehensive Financial Services relationship with JLR provides fully branded vehicle funding options, sold via retailers or on-line; Funding services for JLR’s own Employee Management Car Scheme and wholesale stock financing for the JLR retailer network.

      In this leadership role, you'll be responsible for the successful Financial Services partnership with JLR. Our joint sustainability objectives are important to the partnership through supporting JLR’s EV transition. You'll also take the lead on:

      • Successful delivery of JLR Financial Services into an Agency model, including associated transformation and contractual developments.

      • P&L accountability, end-to-end business performance, contractual partnership commitments and strategic development.

      • Building strong relationships and collaborating with JLR, the Retailer network and internally with key LBG partners will be important.

      • Delivering key objectives focused on developing a strong team to achieve targeted goals for new business volumes, margin management, renewals, finance penetration and cost levels whilst ensuring effective management of risk.

      Day-to-day you'll work with senior colleagues across LBG and JLR to develop and implement strategic delivery plans. Exhibiting a growth mindset, you'll lead, motivate and empower a team of customer facing colleagues who interact with retailers, customers, and team members at all levels. And of course, you'll maintain your in-depth knowledge of the external automotive market, competitor activity and regulations to maximise partnership opportunities.

      As a visible leader, you'll build an inclusive, collaborative team culture, ensuring every colleague can be at their best to deliver our focus, grow and change strategy alongside partnership goals. And you'll maximise individual performance levels of team members through appropriate direction, training and development.

      What you’ll need:

      • Strong knowledge and practical experience of how an OEM operates, including experience of retailer operations and retention initiatives.

      • A background in complex commercial deal structuring, including negotiating with motor dealer networks

      • An established career tenure within the motor finance Industry, which has provided you with a strong knowledge of industry and competitor insight, effective industry networks, and relevant knowledge of key legal, regulatory, and statutory requirements.

      • Strong commercial competence, with a proven track record of shaping and driving all elements of a Profit & Loss / budget through margin and volume management and interrogation of other critical metrics; balancing the need of the customer with the need of the business.

      • Adept at building and developing deep positive relationships and accustomed to influencing and negotiating at multiple levels, including with senior and executive partners.

      • Leadership capabilities which include empowering and developing team members to support their individual development and to ensure that their individual and collective performance meets the current and future needs.

      We'll also be looking for you to demonstrate a real customer centric approach, with the ability to anticipate and identify customer needs and translate them into broader proposition requirements. An innovative thinker, you can motivate change agendas and lead successful implementation of small and large change initiatives. And with well-developed problem solving, data and analytical skills, you're adept at quickly assimilating and interrogating data, to inform solutions and decision making.

      And any experience of these would be really useful:

      • Project Management Experience – ability to design, build and lead projects through to completion, engage key collaborators to deliver results in a cost effective and timely fashion.

      • OEM Financial Services experience is preferable.
