Job Description

- Providing hands-on legal support for the general corporate affairs of Getinge’s legal entities and operations in MEA & CEE, including governance-related matters.
- Managing relevant contracts with customers and suppliers, contractors, distributors and agents, service providers, software/technology providers, other internal corporate entities, etc.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of agreements.
- In cooperation with the global commercial legal team, drafting, revising and implement contract templates for various transactions and support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes.
- In collaboration with the global legal team implement contract management administration.
- Identifying and advising on legal, policy and regulatory risks and the legal liabilities associated with the MEA & CEE business in general as well in specific transactions.

Collaborating with the Ethics & Compliance team e.g. supporting implementation of global policies and directives and global governance structures.
- Supporting the Ethics & Compliance team with internal investigations, and related legal advice, as relevant
- Conducting training for various legal and compliance related topics as relevant.
- Keeping abreast of legal and compliance issues that could impact the MEA & CEE organization.
- Performing other related duties and special projects as required.
- This position requires capability to teamwork and cooperate with all levels of an organization with a positive and engaging style despite sometimes challenging circumstances.
- Commercial experience and analytical and negotiation skills, as well as, the ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams in a matrix reporting structure.
- Knowledge of global business and international matrix models.
- A team player with a proactive and customer-oriented mind set, providing high-quality legal support, often under time pressure.
- Must possess good judgment in knowing when and how to escalate issues to the appropriate level and propose solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
- Perform work with integrity and responsibility.
- Fluency in English and knowledge of one of the CEE languages is preferred.
- At least 10 years of legal experience from a top tier law firm and an in-house legal function of a multinational company within the Life Science/Medical Device/Pharma sector, or other relevant business facing the equivalent commercial and regulatory concerns. At least 5 years of experience should be from work in-house in a multinational company.
- Experience of working in Middle east and Africa, and Central & Eastern European market.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is essential.
- Law degree. Preferably qualified to practice in one of the Central & eastern European Jurisdiction.

Summary of the job:
This is a leadership role in the global commercial legal team. Head of Legal CEE&MEA, will be providing high quality, strategic and practical legal advice, guidance and support for Getinge’s business in MEA & CEE. The role will manage the MEA & CEE legal function as overall Head.
The role will report to the Head of Global Legal.
This role will be managing two positions: Legal Counsel GCC, Legal officer Poland.
