      Head of Market Shopper Intelligence

      Function: Marketing

      Location: London based – a mix of office & home working

      Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 plus benefits listed below

      Contract: Permanent

      Our Market Intelligence team plays a critical role in shaping & developing the full potential of the data-driven insight and foresight agenda across HUK’s commerce organization. Our ambition is to develop industry-leading capabilities and achieve exceptional results in this area.

      The Role

      Reporting directly to the Innovation, Insights & Strategic Planning Director (MLT JG 35) the role works at senior leadership level with key stakeholders across commercial and support functions (MT/MT-1, Marketing, Finance, Sales and Star Pubs & Bars). You'll fuel the annual planning process, lead and own the analytics for HUK strategic projects such as Annual Plan, Strategic Plan, Competitor Intelligence and Integrated Commercial Planning. As HUK is identified as a lead partner operating company for global commerce you'll work with our global team to develop analytic approaches to Media Analytics, ROI and Market Forecasting.

      The scope of this role combines responsibility for reporting, analytics and insight/foresight generation across the following domains:

      • Market Intelligence - Market, Category, Channel, Competitor, Customer

      • Shopper Intelligence – Segmentation, Path to Purchase, Demand spaces

      • Data driven Marketing (IDDM) – HUK IDDM Test Learn & Scale plan

      • Marketing ROI - Market Mix Modelling, performance based marketing

      The goal of this role is to transform data into information, and information into insight.

      The Challenges

      • Own and manage all data agency relationships & contracts, including annual reviews, negotiations, and work-plans.
      • Own the Continuous Shopper Function, keeping HUK at the forefront of shopper insight, delivering, and embedding the recommendations.
      • Act as the project gatekeeper between Marketing and Data Science, ensuring the commercial agenda is embedded in Data Science work plans.
      • Translate data science insights back to the Marketing community.

      About You:

      • 5+ years analytical experience with business or market data with evidence of delivering insight clearly efficiently and effectively

      • Strong track record of having influenced senior managers with data-led arguments and evidence

      • People management experience preferred.

      • Technical mastery (Excel, Nielsen, Power BI)

      We currently operate a hybrid working framework which allows us to capture the benefits of both working in the office and at home. For full time roles, we work a minimum of 3 days in the office, a Tuesday and Thursday are for all, with the third day being defined by the colleague.
