Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a forward-thinking marketing strategy that uses market trends, customer insights, and competitive analysis to position LBG as a premier player in the Merchant Services market.
Brand Management: Lead brand development and positioning of initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity for Merchant Services across all marketing channels. Including a refresh of the Cardnet brand.
Customer Acquisition and Retention: Drive customer growth through targeted marketing campaigns, innovative product launches, and retention strategies that enhance customer lifetime value.
Digital Marketing: Lead all aspects of digital marketing initiatives including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content creation to improve online presence and engagement.
Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging opportunities, customer preferences, and competitive threats, adjusting strategies accordingly.
Partnerships and Alliances: Collaborate with internal collaborators and external partners to develop strategic alliances and co-marketing initiatives that expand Merchant Services reach and influence.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a hard-working team, providing mentorship, guidance, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Budget Management: secure and manage a budget effectively, prioritising high-impact initiatives and optimizing return on investment.
Marketing to Drive Sales Leads: Develop and implement marketing initiatives that generate high-quality sales leads, collaborating closely with the sales team to ensure a steady pipeline of prospects.
External Communications: work with communications team on strategies to strengthen the market presence of LBG Merchant Services in the UK
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
Strong and demonstrable progressive marketing experience, with substantial experience in a leadership role within the financial services or Fintech industry
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and brand recognition.
Deep understanding of merchant services, payment processing, and Fintech trends
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities, coupled with exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and partners to achieve business objectives.
Innovative approach and willingness to challenge the status quo to achieve marketing excellence.

About This Opportunity
Merchant Services (MS) provides a diverse range of products and services to merchants from micro merchants to enterprise customers that want to accept payments via a mixture of channels including face to face, online and over the phone. Merchants of all sizes are increasingly demanding and expect a significant level of sophistication in how their payment needs are considered. Merchant Services has received significant investment under the Group Strategic Review demonstrating its strategic importance to the Group.
We're looking for an experienced and progressive leader to manage and drive our marketing efforts within the MS division. Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Merchant Services, the Head of Marketing will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies in conjunction with partners across the bank that align with our business goals, drive customer acquisition, and strengthen brand positioning in the highly competitive Fintech landscape.
