Job Description

- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, or marketing is required. Other relevant specialties will be considered.
- Masters degree is preferred.
- Several years years minimum of outside sales experience in a steel, manufacturing or distribution environment and experience with B2B sales.
- Willingness to travel.
- Develop effective tactics for prospecting new markets, products, partners, and customers.
- Supports Commercial with new product offerings which are aligned with Americas business strategy.
- Actively execute industry strategy, mission, and vision.
- Attract new potential and worthy business from new customers. A hunter mentality needed to design and develop strategies to develop new markets.
- Manage and monitor the business targets by agreed economic indicators (AOP, VCM, sales revenue, inventory, overdue receivables, SOTIF).
- Understand government business relationships, including negotiation of prices and contracts with national customers.
- Work on inquiries, such as preparation of quotations and contracts, review allocations, technical feasibility in coordination with technical team.
- Pro-actively follow-up quotations including negotiation of contracts, prices, and other commercial details.
- Monitor market situation and competitors, understanding of short, middle, and long-term trends.
- Prepare and upload a sales plan and forecast.
- Sales personality with profound technical understanding.
- Solution and business-oriented thinking and acting, pro-active mindset.
- Assertiveness, externally with customers as well as within the internal network.
- Forward looking attitude with an ability to generate and grasp new ideas, concepts and translate them into new approaches, methods, and techniques.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
