      Elevate Excellence! We're seeking a Head of Operational Excellence at our Hull plant to lead business transformation, guide senior leadership, and drive success with a talented team. Join us and make an impact!

      The role includes ensuring of implementation of Business Excellence strategies, guidelines and procedures. Acting as a trusted advisor to Senior management regarding Business Excellence development and leading other managers or Project managers and teams of professionals or consultants.

      Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:

      • Leading and driving forward operational efficiencies across the plant, utilizing a wide toolbox of operational excellence and continuous improvement methodologies

      • Working in partnership with the business to embed Lean manufacturing methods and principles, eradicating waste, improving efficiency and developing shopfloor continuous improvement competencies

      • Acting as a change agent to the site, managing existing programmes such as action and idea management, while also developing new programmes to support Hull’s journey to world class manufacturing

      • Ensuring that programmes and initiatives are consistent, grounded in good documentation and policy management

      • Overseeing the site’s operational competency programmes, guaranteeing that our teams are fully equipped to always produce best in class wind turbine blades

      • Engaging with local and global engineering and innovation functions to ensure that training programmes are fit for the future

      • Progress Hull’s Digitalisation & Data strategies, innovating pragmatic digital solutions which enable efficiencies, good decision making and solve current and future challenges faced by the site

      • Developing and deploying the site’s internal communication strategy to engage Hull’s diverse teams and unite them around Our Strategy, Our Culture and Our Values

      • Organizing workshops and events in line with the internal communication strategy

      What You Need To Make a Difference

      A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…

      • The ability to take a structured, logical approach, while simultaneously working dynamically across several different programmes and initiatives

      • Significant experience utilising and implementing Lean / Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement methodology, ideally in a large manufacturing or operational environment

      • Excellent problem-solving skills with considerable experience of problem-solving methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC), Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) and more

      • Pragmatic and flexible attitude to get the right outcome for the organisation coupled with a methodical approach to process and documentation

      • Strong customer focused approach with demonstrable first-class stakeholder management

      • Demonstrable leadership experience, delivering results through others

      • Curiosity and demonstrable experience of implementing improvement initiatives leading to commercial benefits, recording savings and measuring and reducing waste

      • The ability to mentor and coach others to help them raise the bar for the benefit of themselves and the business

      • Knowledge of current industry digital manufacturing trends, with the ability to work with experts to deploy digital solutions for stakeholders
