What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Define and drive the platform strategy to align with overall technology and business objectives
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance platforms
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of excellence
- Oversee the development and maintenance of core platform components like APIs and microservices
- Develop and execute the roadmap for platform engineering, prioritizing impactful projects
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Minimum of 8+ years in relevant software engineering areas
- Proven expertise in platform development, including architecture and maintenance of complex systems
- Strong technical knowledge in cloud computing and distributed systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience in software leadership functions
- Familiarity with modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js)
- Experience in building developer platforms or tools
- Background in agile development methodologies and project management
- Experience with data engineering, including ETL processes
