What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Define and drive the platform strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's technology and business objectives
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software engineers to promote a culture of excellence and continuous learning
- Oversee the development and maintenance of core platform components such as APIs and microservices
- Develop and execute the roadmap for platform engineering, prioritizing projects based on business impact
- Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor system performance and implement continuous improvement
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
- Legal authorization to work in the US required; no visa sponsorship available for this position
- Minimum of 8+ years in relevant software engineering areas
- Proven expertise in platform development, including architecture and maintenance of complex systems
- Strong technical knowledge in cloud computing, distributed systems, and DevOps practices
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience in applicable software leadership functions
- Experience with modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, Kubernetes)
- Background in agile development methodologies and project management
- Experience in building developer platforms or tools
- Experience with data engineering, including ETL processes and database technologies
