      Job Title: Head of Product, Web, and E-Commerce

      Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team to set up and lead our digital platform development. In focus is the evolution and growth of USG’s digital properties for building our brand, driving customer engagement, generating leads, and meeting our digital sales goals via ecommerce. The role will be responsible for building and executing a new program.

      This position will spearhead the digital platform strategy, planning and execution to meet our business objective to be “easiest to do business with” growing the digital offering for all target audiences and driving self-service options both for internal and external customers.

      This involves overseeing the technical aspects of our website, including tech stack and e-commerce/B2B capabilities. Collaboration with a cross-functional team, comprising of Customer Insights Team, IT, Marketing Communications, Business Unit Leaders and more, is key to ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our digital assets, thereby supporting our marketing and business goals.

      To achieve the state-of-the art evolution of the tech stack, the role will need to lead the strategy for our technology platforms, partnerships and external relationships in digital customer interaction and define a future proof-support model for our digital offering.

      The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional digital product development teams, experience with e-commerce platforms, a deep understanding of digital trends, and the ability to translate strategic vision into actionable plans in the B2B space.

      Role & Responsibilities:

      Digital Platform Strategy and Implementation:

      • Develop and execute a holistic digital marketing strategy that evolves the end-to-end experience on websites and e-commerce channels in alignment with overall business objectives.
      • Take a product management approach to usg.com­, own the vision and roadmap to evolve the end-to-end digital experience through a thoughtful combination of digital best practices and innovation.
      • Lead the reset of our digital offerings: Develop and implement an omnichannel and full ecommerce and program roadmap.
      • USG’s digital platform will provide services for the general public, career and employment information, target-group specific offerings, private services for registered users and ecommerce options.
      • Involve and use past research and conduct relevant and impactful benchmarking to set a concise and value-oriented roadmap.
      • The roadmap can include the upgrade of tech stack components, the design of new business processes and services as well as the enhancement of current offering.
      • Develop implementation plan inclusive of a cross-functional resource and operating model.
      • Constantly update the plan and be accountable for a rolling roadmap.

      Continuous Website Management and User-Centered Updates in the Context of the Set Roadmap:

      • Using past research, develop implementation plan to re-set the website experience to a user-centric and unified experience.
      • Help USG.com become the hub for digital services as well as the entry point to start physical interactions with USG sales, marketing and service.
      • Set-up the product team and steer nimble and result focused updates to our digital frontend. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, sales, marketing and more.
      • Identify key performance indicators and regularly assess the effectiveness of digital marketing efforts.
      • Together with our analytics team, implement SEO best practices to improve organic search visibility and drive relevant traffic.

      B2B portal and Ecommerce Leadership and Program Management:

      • Grow target-group specific services beyond transaction with the objective to create marketing and sales qualified leads.
      • Grow digital sales and revenue growth by increasing portal membership and utilization.
        • Specifically, build technology and technology support plan for B2B offerings which can span from product information to target group specific software and tools.
        • Assess technology requirements for ecommerce and build plan for implementation.
      • Lead the product team set-up and their work.
      • Stand up user-centric commerce processes meeting objectives of seamless customer experience and increase level of automation within USG.
      • Constantly analyze ecommerce segments as input into roadmap for feature development and input into marketing initiatives

      Ownership of digital delivery and support model: (Product) Team and Collaboration:

      • Develop a clear succession plan approach and supports team members in their career development.
      • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure the creation, communication, and execution of digital marketing project plans, strategies, and tactics.
      • Spearhead work in product teams, develop respective proposals and implement cross-functional product teamwork structure.
      • Set-up technology operating model between internal and external resources.

      Budget, reporting, program maintenance:

      • Continuously evaluate roadmap against budget to optimize spend.
      • Outstanding attention in status reporting.
      • Co-drive analytics requirements both for platform utilization measurement, investment cases as well as process measurement.

      Qualifications & Requirements:

      • 10+ years of experience in digital marketing and digital product development, with at least 3 years at the senior manager level (B2B experience strongly preferred).
      • Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, website development, and digital marketing technologies.
      • Experience leading teams in a high-performing, goal-oriented environment
      • Excellent program management skills.
      • Proven track record in collaborating with software development roles and fast-paced development and release cycles.
      • Utilizes comprehensive knowledge of ecommerce technologies and tactics, especially in product experience management (PXM), digital asset management (DAM), and sophisticated analytics.
      • Professional experience in user interface UIUX, SEO, and omnichannel marketing experience and integration with CRM is a plus.
      • Demonstrates analytical abilities coupled with highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills, and strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
      • A proven track record for successful implementation of an enterprise-wide program.
      • Experience with lead generation best practices beyond digital marketing connecting back to the organization into sales and service processes.
      • Creative mindset with the ability to conceptualize and execute innovative digital solutions.
      • Proficiency in web analytics tools and data-driven decision-making.
      • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

      Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
