      Job summary

      The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking applications from high calibre senior estates and facilities leaders to join the Group Capital, Estates and Facilities Team.

      Stakeholder panels will be held on the 28th July virtually followed by a face to face interview with the panel on the 29th July.

      Main duties of the job

      The Head of Property and Space Management post is a key member of the Capital, Estates and Facilities senior management team.

      The role provides senior leadership for the Trusts property portfolio and programme for improved space utilisation across the four Northern Care Alliance footprints of Bury, Rochdale, Fairfield and Salford including the community assets and acute sites.

      The post holder will be accountable for the management of properties including lease management and working in partnership with other public sector organisations to optimise the use of estates across the NCA footprint.

      The role will include leadership for improvement work to optimise and use space effectively and efficiently.

      The post holder will work closely with colleagues within the Estates and Facilities team as well as senior leaders across the NCA and Executive Team.

      Qualification

      Essential

      • Master's degree or equivalent job related experience in healthcare planning/healthcare facilities
      • Evidence of continuing professional development

      Desirable

      • Chartered Membership of an appropriate institution in architecture, engineering, facilities management, surveying, building, property (e.g. RICS) or equivalent

      Knowledge and Experience

      Essential

      • Evidence of managing a large property portfolio, including the negotiation of leases and licences, and delivering cost saving efficiencies.
      • Knowledge of lease management
      • Extensive experience working at a senior management level in a large complex organisation preferably within the NHS.
      • Managing and implementing change at a senior level.
      • Experience of delivering large scale transformation programmes in a large and complex organisation
      • Information and or finance management and analysis of complex financial data.
      • Exposure to solving issues, preferably within a complex healthcare environment.
      • Experience of developing alliances and partnerships within and across organisations.

      • Detailed knowledge of, and demonstrable experience in, the application of best practice programme and project management methodologies.
