      Job Description:

      Satair is looking for a Head of Quality to join our team in Miami, FL. In this role you will communicate and reinforce company goals, safety practices and operational objectives in line with the Company Management System (CMS). This role requires a high degree of knowledge of air carrier operations, regulatory systems and experience in quality leadership.

      Meet the team:

      The HO Quality Americas leads the Quality Management team at the Dulles and Miami facility to ensure material and related services for North and Latin America regions comply with the quality rules. The parts supplied from the Satair Distribution channel are covered with Certificates of Compliance signed by the HO Quality. In parallel to the Airbus POA, Satair has the privilege to certify A220 parts with TCCA Form 1, EATON Hoses form the in house production with FAA8130. In the function as HO Quality the compliance to these regulations have to be secured too. Various MOA requirements are covered by the regional HO Satair Quality.

      Your working environment:

      Our Miami site is located close to downtown Miami and only 10 miles from Miami International Airport (MIA). This location supports all of our Americas customers, but is crucial to our Latin American operations due to its close proximity to Latin America and the Caribbean. This site manufactures about 38,000 certified Eaton hose assemblies a year. Additionally, our Miami site is the home of the regional FAA-145 repair station, which was established in March of 2017.

      Your challenges:

      Primary Responsibilities: 90%

      • Process performance and product adherence to standards
      • Reliability of processes
      • Repeatability of processes, at initial design phase, before any process changes are made and continuously through the life of a product.
      • Manage NOE (Notification of Escape), QSR (Quality Survey Report), SARI (Safety Related Item) and OCC (Reportable Occurrence), FAR145 (Repair Station in Miami)
      • Risk and opportunity management
      • Create an inspiring team environment, with an open communication culture
      • Listen to team members' feedback and resolve any issues and/or conflicts
      • Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments
      • Encourage creativity and employee self-development as well as collaborative working practices
      • Manage product certifications, which include keeping detailed records of KPIs and advising management on non-conformance to KSI's
      • Provide encouragement to team members identifying areas for new or recurrent training
      • Develop strategies to promote team member adherence to performance goals and continued development
      • Conduct weekly team meetings to update members on current operations, best practices, support expectations and promote a speak-up culture.
      • Ensure functionality of operational equipment and that physical working spaces meet or exceed the company's standards
      • Support the Quality Director and perform management duties when director is absent or out of the office

      Additional Responsibilities: 10%

      Your boarding pass:

      Education:

      • Bachelor's Degree in Quality, Business or a related field required or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferable.

      Experience:

      • 7+ years of experience in a production, maintenance, or airline environment with Aircraft Systems or Aerospace Engineering Structure, including CFRP, and ageing aircraft requirements
      • 5 years of supervisory experience inclusive of a candidate's total experience

      Travel Required:

      • 20% Domestic and International
