Job Description

- Using and triangulating a range of quality data, work with module leads and NHS partners to highlight areas of good practice and support them to address areas of concern.
- Have delegated responsibility from the Head of School for all General Medical Council (GMC) related quality assurance activities, including the coordination and preparation of the annual self-assessment questionnaire (SAQ) and related activities to demonstrate the School meets its obligations under GMC requirements.
- Lead the annual quality monitoring visit process to partner NHS organisations and support various initiatives to bring about identified and agreed improvements. Working with the PCSM Operations team and Trust staff (including clinical educators, the Trust Education Leads through to the Chief Executive) this will involve a coordinated series of visits to partner Trusts to collect data and develop action plans to be seen through to completion.
- Develop and implement effective mechanisms for student dialogue and collaboration and ensure there is appropriate communication of responses. What we are looking for
- A primary medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent) full GMC registration and Membership of one of the Royal Colleges.
- Clinically active and experienced, working as a Consultant
- Proven leadership skills, with an ability to exercise sound judgment
- Outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal relationship skills
- Ability to role-model the professional values and behaviours expected of medical professionals What we can offer you
