- You manage the Generation NL team with a strong focus on health and safety, cost control and optimization of electricity production and revenues.
- You actively work on creating and maintaining a good team spirit. You coach your team members to achieve good performance levels and to support their personal development and ambitions. You ensure that your team feels connected to the BA Wind and Offshore strategy and is able to contribute to that strategy.
- You manage the relation with the many internal stakeholders within Generations and also in Business Controlling, Health and Safety, Environment, Procurement etc.
- You build up and maintain external relationships and contacts on the management level with e.g. suppliers, shareholders etc.
- You are accountable for the delivery of annal availability (production) and cost KPI´s through development of long, mid and short term plans and optimising daily operations at site/s in the region.
- You coordinate activities at sites delivered by Integrated Operations e.g. major component exchanges, inspections, cable repairs and other major campaign projects, ensuring compliance to local regulations and KPI´s.
- You Deliver the agreed Opex budgets for direct execution cost within the region and continuously identify and implement cost improvements to deliver the efficiency targets built into the wind farms lifetime business case.
- Senior stake holder management including liaison with project partners and external suppliers.
- You are a team player and team builder, with at least 5 years experience in leading teams, preferably in an operations environment;
- You have a broad experience in asset operations, experience with wind farm operations is a plus. You have an education on a Bachelor/Master level in a technical and/or business direction; you have a broad interest and good business sense;
- You have a coaching leadership style, with a focus on personal development. You are energetic, motivated and good at motivating others;
- You are a structured worker who is able to set priorities and keep an overview across a large range of different topics. You can translate complex issues and tactical/strategical developments into practical guidance for your team members;
- You are good in building and maintaining relationships. You have excellent communication skills on all levels;
- You are fluent in Dutch and English.

We are now looking for a Head of Region Netherlands to lead our Generation NL team in Vattenfall’s Business Unit Offshore Wind.The Head of Region NL is accountable for delivering safe, compliant and world-class performance for operating offshore windfarms. The scope encompasses the operational KPI´s; safety, availability and operating cost, agreed in the Yearly budget.
You are responsible for performance delivery of Vattenfall operated wind farms in the Region and will be accountable for all future projects in the region.
As the Head of Region NL you manage a team of wind power professionals (about 7 direct reports and 35 indirect) with the aim to operate and maintain our growing fleet of wind farms in the Netherlands in a safe, cost efficient manner to optimise electricity production and revenues.
As the Head of Region NL you are part of the Business Area Wind, or BA Wind, which is the fastest growing business area in Vattenfall. We operate and build on- and offshore wind parks in the UK, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark. In addition, we are building and operating solar parks and battery solutions in those five countries. Your role / what will you do?
In this role you will lead a team with highly qualified and motivated wind operations professionals who ensure safe and efficient operations and maintenance of our wind farms with the aim to optimise electricity production and revenues. The NL team consists of different operational roles and functions such as technicians, service leaders, O&M managers, and High Voltage managers. The NL team plays an important role in maintaining a good relationship with local stakeholders.
The Head Region NL reports to the Head of Regions and is a member of the Generation Operations Management Team. The Offshore Generation department is responsible for profitable and safe Operations and Maintenance of the wind farms and the optimisation of the long-term value creation of our Offshore Wind assets.
