      Marsh has an exciting and challenging opportunity available in their Asia business and is seeking suitably qualified and experienced senior Risk Advisory executives for the following position based in the firm’s Singapore (preferred) or Hong Kong office.

      Head of Resilience Consulting, Marsh Advisory, Asia

      What can you expect?

      Marsh Advisory is seeking a Senior Leader to continue the build out of their Strategic Risk Consulting (SRC) practice across Asia. SRC includes Resilience, Climate & Sustainability, Cyber and Enterprise Risk Management capabilities. Within this key practice, Marsh Advisory is seeking an experienced professional to lead the sales and delivery of their largest and most complex Resilience projects. Individuals will be actively involved in the development of the strategy of the practice, proposition development, sales, and management. Typical projects include advising clients on identifying the most consequential traditional and emerging threats to their organization, developing effective responses to business disruption, designing and implementing integrated risk and resilience frameworks and providing assurance over the effectiveness of resilience arrangements.

      We are seeking individuals with the following expertise – in consulting, operational, sales and/or management roles:

      • Business Continuity Management
      • Crisis Management
      • Supply Chain resilience
      • Physical climate risk resilience
      • IT Disaster Recovery
      • Operational Resilience
      • Physical Security

      We will count on you to:

      Practice Leadership:

      • Develop and execute Marsh’s Asia’s Resilience Consulting strategy, in line with the global consulting and resilience risk management advisory strategies.
      • Maintain knowledge of Marsh’s global current and future resilience capabilities.
      • Enhance the current consulting propositions and develop new capabilities within this practice.
      • Drive the open sharing of information and expertise across Marsh.
      • Provide regular updates (i.e., reporting) of practice performance of key sales and operational metrics.

      Client Development:

      • Develop and convert new and expanded business opportunities, independently and/or through spheres of influence within the internal Marsh network as well as other businesses within Marsh McLennan.
      • Coordinate all marketing activities (e.g. seminars, mailings, etc.), in conjunction with the wider Marsh Advisory and Marsh Asia.
      • Direct, perform, and/or review research (e.g. reviews, annual report, financial data, benchmarking, etc.) for business development purposes.

      Project Oversight:

      • Lead/oversee select and/or priority commercial consulting engagements.
      • Formulate new approaches of applying resilience processes and technologies.
      • Conduct peer reviews, confirm client expectations, and monitor client satisfaction of deliverables and services.

      Communications:

      • Develop and effectively deliver complex written and oral communications, such as proposals, technical concepts and project deliverables.
      • Articulate internal and external business goals and overall strategies needed to attain business goals.

      What you need to have:

      • 15+ Years progressive professional experience, including resilience consulting, in one or more of the disciplines outlined above.
      • Demonstrated ability of successfully leading and building out a consulting practice.
      • Successful track record of business development and management including competitive proposal development.
      • Well-versed on current resilience related technologies, industry developments, and issues, to direct best practices and resources, in a specialty area/identified business need
      • Experience as a trusted resilience related advisor to senior client executives and demonstrated capabilities in influencing senior executives to board level.
      • Strong knowledge and experience of industry standards, frameworks, and regulations in resilience related areas.
      • Understanding of risk and methodologies for the quantification of loss event magnitude and probability
      • Experience in the management and career development of resilience related consultants
      • Evidence of analytical expertise and thought leadership in resilience related areas outlined above.
      • Experience in public speaking at conferences, panels, and other events related to areas of resilience advisory.
      • Knowledge of resilience related insurance is very helpful but not essential.
      • Bachelor degree and ideally a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
      • MBA is beneficial, but not essential.
      • Membership or accreditation with Business Continuity Institute, Disaster Recovery Institute or another relevant risk management body preferred. Experience or credentials related to Enterprise Risk Management, Cyber Risk or Climate & Sustainability Risk frameworks is an advantage

      • High level of quantitative/analytics skills.
      • Excellent organization and resource (people, projects, time) management.
      • Demonstrated supervisory and teamwork experience.
      • Ability to develop and close business opportunities.
      • Interest in insurance, data & analytics, and risk management.
      • Autonomous and self-starting.
