      1) Description and Responsibilities

      This senior level role within the Capital Planning organization will report directly to the Head of RWA Forecasting which is a part of broader Capital Forecasting and Analytics team.

      This Capital Forecasting and Analytics team is responsible for capital forecasting for Citigroup and CBNA, while supporting senior management decision-making to achieve the firm’s capital targets. The group leads forecasting and analytics across the capital continuum, which ranges from business as usual environments to stress scenarios.

      Group capabilities include forecasting capital ratios, and related measures such as capital capacity, Risk Weighted Assets (RWA), Supplementary Leverage Exposure (SLE) and the Global Systematically Important Bank (GSIB) score.

      The group partners and collaborates extensively across Treasury and Finance teams including Capital Management, Capital Planning, Citi Treasury Investments (CTI), Global Liquidity Management (GLM), Asset Liability Management (ALM), FP&A, Investor Relations, Controllers, Tax, ICG/GCB Business Treasuries, CBNA Treasury and the Risk organization.

      The Head of Market Risk RWA forecasting is responsible for leading a team of 5-8 global team focused on end-to-end Market RWA forecasting processes for Citigroup and CBNA across base and stress scenarios with additional responsibility of managing the oversight of all models and deterministic tools that are used in the RWA production across all risk stripes.

      Key responsibilities:

      • Lead the team responsible for end to end processes associated with Market Risk RWA forecasting, especially for CCAR and quarterly internal forecasts; lead regulatory filing associated with RWA forecast;
      • Lead Market RWA forecasting (Standardized and Advanced approaches) under base and stress scenarios, and conduct in depth analytics;
      • Develop and maintain governance and control requirements associated with RWA forecasting processes; lead the Market Risk and Model related Business Engagements forums
      • Partner with key stakeholders, including the Model Risk Management (MRM) group to manage and maintain RWA forecasting models;
      • Lead projects and strategic initiatives to improve Market RWA forecasting processes, including data and technology enhancements as part of Consent Order deliverables, as well as implement new capital regulations;
      • Support audit and regulatory exams pertaining to Market Risk RWA forecasting and Model Oversight;
      • Partner across stakeholders including Treasury, Finance, Businesses, Risk to execute against RWA forecasting deliverables

      2) Competencies

      • Broader understanding of regulatory capital rules across all risk stripes
      • Understand Trading Book positions and related risk factors. Be a subject matter expert on existing market risk RWA framework including full understanding of VaR/SVaR/IRC/CRM/SSMR projection methodology and the projected RWA outputs according to different predefined scenarios.
      • Has profound understanding of model risk management, especially from the user perspective. Make sure model is under proper usage. Key assumptions, limitations and weakness are properly documented, assessed and risk mitigated. Knowledge with SR11-7 is preferred.
      • Have a good understanding of FRTB with responsibility to lead market risk RWA projection methodology under FRTB.
      • Strong leadership skills, ability to align teams and resources to fit the overall strategy;
      • Ability to inspire confidence and provide direction;
      • Ability to work collaboratively within and outside Treasury across a wide range of stakeholders;
      • Strong influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills;
      • Robust problem solving and analytical skills, with diligence and superior attention to detail;
      • Strong project management skills; able to quickly structure an approach to address new problems;
      • Proven ability to make decisions and drive execution;
      • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and meeting strict deadlines;
      • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes;
      • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal;

      3) Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field, MBA is a plus;
      • 15+ years of experience in the financial services industry or consulting;
      • Extensive experience in a senior role as part of Treasury, Capital Planning or Finance;
      • Experience in Capital Planning processes and best practices in large financial institutions preferred;
      • Familiarity with financial markets, financial services regulations, and macro-economic environment;
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – particularly PowerPoint (presentation decks), Word (business writing) and Excel (metrics and data analysis)
