Analyze the current state of the supply chain network, identify gaps and opportunities, and propose solutions to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.
Develop and maintain supply network models and scenarios, using data-driven and analytical methods, to support decision making and scenario planning.
Manage and coordinate supply network design projects, ensuring prioritisation and timely high-quality delivery, aligned to the agreed project scope.
Manage a rolling pipeline of prioritised projects of varying degrees of complexity matching project demand with project resource.
Manage the governance of critical Supply Network Design projects within the Supply Agility Programme, ensuring alignment with the programme objectives, standards, and best practices.
Lead, coach, and develop the Supply Network Design team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Document and present the outcome of Supply Network Design studies to senior stakeholders in the business including the GSCO, CFO and CEO.
Owns and delivers the LTSP process for Supply Chain & Procurement globally
Extensive experience in supply chain network design, optimization, and modelling, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Proficient in supply chain network design software and tools such as Coupa Llamasoft.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex and ambiguous situations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade others.
Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams and deliver results.

Role overview
The Head of Supply Network Design will report into the Head of Global Supply and Procurement Transformation Delivery and will sit on the Transformation Delivery Leadership Team. They will be responsible for designing the optimal supply chain network for the company, considering factors such as customer demand, production capacity, inventory levels, transportation costs, service levels and sustainability metrics such as carbon and water. The Head of Supply Network Design leads Diageo’s Global Supply Network Design COE with a team of Network Design analysts who collaborate with other functions and markets to ensure alignment and integration of the supply network design with the business objectives and strategy. They also own the Long Term Strategic Planning (LTSP) capability for the Supply Chain, translating Group Strategy’s 10 year long range sales volume forecast into production volumes by site to enable long range capacity planning, sustainability and supply base planning.
The Head of Supply Network Design also manages the governance of critical supply network design projects within the Supply Agility Programme, a company-wide initiative to enhance the agility, resilience, efficiency and sustainability of our supply chain network around the world.

This role can be based in any of the following locations: London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Amsterdam, or Dublin. The role will require occasional travel to other sites / regions, depending on project needs and scope.
