      Job Description

      WHAT YOU DO?

      As a pivotal member of the Business Tech leadership team in India, your primary responsibility will be to provide guidance and direction for the Tech Location, facilitating seamless delivery from the Center, establishing efficient systems and processes across functions, and enabling the Center’s continued growth and success while securing the seamless day to day operations.

      WHAT YOU DO?

      Strategy and Growth : Develop strategies, implement growth initiatives, drive innovation, and ensure the Center is compliant with laws, regulations, and policies.

      • Lead the strategic and growth initiatives for the Bangalore Tech Center together with the global key stakeholders through a proactive approach to the GCC strategy, scope, operational delivery and excellence.
      • Develop and implement a comprehensive operational plan aligned with H&M Business Tech's global objectives.
      • Drive innovation and lead transformational change initiatives aimed at enhancing the capability of the organization in line with the global Business Tech strategy, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of innovation.
      • Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices and leverage them to continuously enhance the Center's capabilities and offerings.

      Finance and Budgeting : Oversees financial planning, analysis, and reporting while developing and managing budgets. Assess the impact of initiatives and ensure compliance.

      • Establishing financial targets and goals, monitoring financial performance, and reporting financial results of the Center to H&M Business Tech leadership
      • Developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data of the Center as well as investment from other H&M entities.
      • Drive optimization and control of costs across all GCC scope areas & facilitate business results / outcome through business analytics & decision support systems
      • Identifying and mitigating financial risks and ensuring the Center is compliant with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies
      • Engage actively in the annual audit

      Center operations and cross functional activities: Manage the Center’s operations and guide enablement function leads on improvement and growth initiatives

      Managing the Center operations :

      • Ensure service delivery is in line with H&M global operating procedures and model. Secure that best practices are adopted.
      • Lead implementation of quality certifications for the Center and build a strong quality and continuous improvement leadership team to ensure world class services being delivered from the Tech Center
      • Audit Service Delivery elements like Quality Assurance; Business Continuity and Disaster recovery
      • Review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
      • Work closely with and guide functional teams on
      • Organizational strategy, recruitment, retention, and people initiatives for Center employees
      • Procurement and admin process improvement initiatives
      • Overall IT/ technology support and implementation initiatives
      • Being a registered legal officer for the legal entity

      Collaboration/Stakeholder management: Engage with global stakeholders :

      • Developing strong relationships with Global H&M colleagues / business stakeholders, understand their needs and requirements, and find ways to align with business goals and objectives
      • Collaborating with other leaders across Retail and Production office in India to drive cross-functional initiatives that support the H&M’s global goals and objectives
      • Identifying new partnership opportunities to increase the scope of services of the Center
      • Work collaboratively with local and global stakeholders to establish and track Center level objectives and key results (OKRs) and key performance indicators (KPIs), driving governance and ensuring alignment with overall business strategies and goals

      • You deliver and aim to exceed our objectives of the Technology and Non-Technology Operations, Internal stakeholders. People, Community and Finance Plan
      • You coach the Leadership team in how to use the financial performance information to deliver a cost effective service to H&M Global
      • You secure H&M GCC delivers the highest service value scores across the stakeholder groups at optimal cost levels
      • You deliver optimum efficiency levels within the GCC, and the GCC is 100 % compliant with H&M global policies and all local laws and regulations
      • You communicate regularly with stakeholders so that all GCC center results are well received and understood
      • You find new solutions to continually improve policies and processes across the GCC and advise and support HQ on improving overall H&M
      • You build future capability through a combination of external talent sourcing and internal skills development
      • You improve the capability of the team by coaching and training them to deliver their objectives, their Personal Development Plan, Key Performance Indicators and the Operating Model

      Qualifications

      WHO YOU ARE : Your knowledge and personal characteristics

      EDUCATION :

      • Essential: Degree in related field of Technology and / or Core Corporate function (finance, HR etc) and / or Core General Management
      • Desired: Certifications in Quality / Digital Automation & Transformation, Lean/Agile

      SKILLS :

      • Deep expertise and appreciation for GCC Management and excellence across various GCC center functions
      • Knowledge of technologies, processes in GCC’s and an ability to operate, execute some if not all functions
      • Commercial acumen, business case management
      • Excellent communication and relationship management skills

      EXPERIENCE :

      • 18+ years of work experience with at least 5+ years of prior experience in leading a multi-function GCC and having been a part of the Executive leadership in a GCC (previous GCC Center Head Role would be an added advantage)
      • Experience in CI / Project Management methodologies & tools would be an added advantage
      • Experience in working with senior leaders to develop and implement business strategies
      • Demonstrated success in building and motivating high-performing teams
      • Experience in driving change management initiatives and organizational transformation
      • Strong experience in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
      • Prior experience in managing relationships with key stakeholders across functions and geographies in a diverse multi-cultural environment
      • Experience in developing and implementing operational plans to meet business objectives
      • Demonstrated success in enhancing service delivery capability and customer satisfaction
      • Experience in managing compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
