      We are looking for 2 Therapy area Heads, with expertise preferably in Obesity, Diabetes and/or Chronic Diseases.

      The Position

      As the new Therapy Area Head at our CDC in the Netherlands, you will be heading up your team accountable for execution of all Novo Nordisk trial programs within obesity, diabetes and/or chronic disease. Your role involves leading your therapy area unit, achieving important business objectives, and responding quickly to business needs.

      Additionally, you will:

      • Manage and develop a team.
      • Develop short- and long-term strategic plans for the assigned Therapy Area within the CDC.
      • Manage the trial portfolio in the assigned Therapy Area, including risk management at the CDC level.
      • Establish an effective operational model to meet current and future needs for the functional team within the CDC organizational structure.
      • Foster collaboration with other CDC units to ensure overall compliance with Novo Nordisk processes, local requirements, and trial sites. Drive operational efficiency, talent development, and performance management within the Therapy Area, and collaborate extensively with Clinical Medical Regulatory teams.

      Qualifications

      To be successful in this role, we expect you to have the following qualifications:

      • Master's degree in science or relevant fields.
      • Demonstrated solid experience in people management within clinical operations preferably in the relevant therapeutic areas.
      • Proven track record in clinical trial execution in multifunctional team, including clinical quality (audits and inspections) and training.
      • Strong leadership skills and proven successes.
      • Professional proficiency in English and Dutch.

      You should also be a team player, a responsible person and able to be present in the office at least twice a week on a regular basis.

      The Department

      Our Clinical Development Centers, part of the Clinical, Medical and Regulatory Departments, are the backbone in clinical trials and have the benefits of strengthened partnerships and launches. We conduct clinical trials in more than 50 countries around the world, in close collaboration with our affiliates, regions and global teams.

      You will be a part of our large, resourceful development team that plays a crucial role in the ambitious drug development programs at Novo Nordisk. Our highly motivated team is composed of over 40 employees, and you will become a part of the management team, reporting directly to the CDC Head.
