- Assists with planning, implementing monitoring, and evaluating program activities, to ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) requirements, and any other related requirements
- Develops comprehensive training and technical assistance in the areas of health, nutrition, and food service
- Conducts nutrition assessments as needed to ensure compliance Develops community partnerships to meet the health and nutritional needs of children and families
- Collaborates on menu and recipe and development to ensure that food service providers’ menus comply with all applicable standards and regulations
- Assists with the development and implementation of Individualized Care Plans, including CACFP-compliant menu modifications that meet individual nutritional needs Assists with training and monitoring of nutrition consultants
- Provides nutrition education for parents children, and staff, to ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and CACFP requirements
- Represents the Health and Nutrition program at local, state, and regional levels

Summary
In compliance with Federal Law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
Working under general supervision and with moderate difficulty, this position is responsible for providing assistance in the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Health and Nutrition program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Health, Nutrition or other related field of study; and three years’ experience in conducting health and nutrition assessments; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Physical Activity: Frequent sitting, listening, talking, reaching, walking, standing, finger use, grasping, feeling and repetitive motion. Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting.
