Serve as single-points-of-contact or coordinator to implement H&S activities that require broad knowledge and experience in order to provide compliance solutions to H&S issues. Supports basic work activities in order to comply with H&S laws, regulations and corporate requirements. Assists I the development, implementation and maintenance of basic programs, systems and procedures. Participates in H&S compliance and management system audits.
Assists customers and subject matter experts in health or safety activities that require basic knowledge of H&S issues. Assists in monitoring and preventing H&S incidents and hazards along with investigation of incidents, accidents, injuries or complaints.
Supports section and department administrative and development functions including budgeting, special projects and assignments, employee training, emergency preparedness and quality assurance programs
Bachelors in Heatlh and Safety, Science or Engineering
In Lieu of degree, HS Diploma / GED and 4 years related experience
Concept knowledge of H&S regulatory compliance requirements, scientific practices, quality assurance principles, and auditing principles.
General technical skills in H&S area.
Very good communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented focus.
Track record of proactive approach to developing creative solutions to problems.
Experience in supporting H&S compliance at multiple facilities within multiple regulatory jurisdictions.
Has worked with others from diverse groups to achieve a common goal or objective.
Understands systems and processes needed to comply with health and safety laws and regulations, corporate policies, goals, and targets.
Understands project management concepts.

This is a regional role providing comprehensive health and safety support to generating plants in northern sections of SC. Works under remote supervision. Responsible for performing tasks in a wide range of health or safety disciplines to achieve compliance with the organization’s H&S standards and with federal, state and local regulatory requirements. Performs tasks that are usually from detailed instructions and established procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgement for following defined policies and procedures. Develops implements and maintains basic programs, systems and procedures. Performs industrial hygiene monitoring and identifies and resolves H&S hazards. Performs with others accident investigations and investigates worker health & safety complaints. Recommends improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment to minimize the hazard potential. Develops and conducts employee training, emergency preparedness and quality assurance programs. Maintains a working knowledge of technical aspects of regulatory requirements.
