- Energy Systems (Convertors, Hybrid solutions, Hydrogen and other power to X processes)
- Ensure Safe Design through implementation of the Vattenfall Process Landscape
- Support Product and Project Teams to achieve Roadmap milestones in product development.
- Develop and maintain H&S, Emergency Response and H&S Activity plans to pass Project Tollgates;
- Support Projects in achieving compliance with relevant health & safety frameworks and requirements;
- Support Projects and Colleagues in Business Area Wind HSE to pursue our ambition of zero incidents;
- Monitor and support the H&S aspects within the different design streams;
- Support and participate in design risk assessment activities and take-up discussions with the contractors;
- Deliver the H&S part of procurement for product contracts;
- Implement Lessons Learned, Safety Alerts and other H&S code of practices within your area of control;
- Communicate openly and actively engage with the Wider Vattenfall community on H&S.
- Facilitate handover of Safe Products to Project Delivery teams for integration and execution.
- Model acceptable conduct and Safe behaviour when representing the H&S team in Vattenfall.
- Educated to degree level within Health and Safety
- A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in an international organisation, preferably with a number of Offshore Wind Farm Projects, Marine Construction or other;
- Success in a Project H&S role to lead Project H&S performance to the next level;
- Experience of design standards/ codes (ISO, NORSOK, DNV, EN, BS etc.);
- Full and detailed understanding of applicable H&S related construction and design legislation, codes, standards and practises (including IMCA, G+);
- Experience with H&S management and start-up of projects;
- Experience Coordinating H&S with contractors as client, principal designer and/or principal contractor;
- Experience of safety management systems and H&S auditing (ISO 45001, 9001 etc);
- Experience with Client /Contractor /Supplier relationships, Engineering, procurement & construction;
- Your command of English is strong, both verbally and written.
- Competence in IT packages including Microsoft Office suite
- Experience of Root Cause Incident Investigation and implementing continual improvement

Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities. Today we develop, construct and operate wind generation in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK.

We are looking for a Health & Safety Specialist to support Wind Farm Design and Market Development to enable Safety by Design of Products that can be deployed in an Offshore Wind development, namely;
The right candidate will join our team of H&S specialists who are already working the following product areas;
The Market Development function of Vattenfall Offshore Wind seeks out opportunities in the Market and develops them to ensure Vattenfall has a future pipeline of projects to deliver and operate.
The Wind Farm Design function of Vattenfall Offshore provides technical input, engineering, procurement and project management to realise the Market Development ambitions.
The overall purpose of the role is to ensure all H&S related design aspects are considered and addressed by the organisation and ensuring Vattenfall meets its statutory and other H&S obligations during project development by implementing good practices to achieve high standards of Health and Safety management from concept, consent through to decommissioning.
