Health & Wellbeing Navigator - Barca-Leeds - Job DescriptionBarca-Leeds is a community based charity. We are an organisation that delivers transformational services to adults, children, young people and families in Leeds, bringing people and services together to better respond to the needs of each individual.
We are looking to appoint a:
BL160 - Health & Wellbeing Navigator
Full Time - 37 hours per week
FTC – 12 months
Salary - £25,750 - £26,265 paWe are looking for an individual who is passionate, resilient and enthusiastic to join our Health and Wellbeing Navigator Team, working with people who experience homelessness.
Rough sleeping can lead to stigma, stereotyping and labelling that limits people’s access to health care services, resulting in significant health inequalities. The role of the Health and Wellbeing Navigator is to support people to access the right health services and care, to meet their needs. They will offer support to overcome the barriers that homeless people face in accessing health and wellbeing services. Our Health and Wellbeing Navigators work across Leeds as part of a team establishing pathways and partnerships with healthcare providers.
We work with people who have experienced a lot of adversity in their lives, including homelessness, substance misuse, mental health issues and may have a history of offending behaviour and can find it difficult to engage in services. We welcome applications from people who can work in a proactive way and apply creative solutions to reduce barriers, someone who understands and cares about the needs of the individual and is not easily phased.
