      The Health & Life Sciences Industry Consulting (IC) Team leverages their extensive industry expertise and networks to drive revenue growth via sales of SAS offerings. This team is comprised of experts with varying domain knowledge to create and deliver credible and unique viewpoints to differentiate SAS in the market. The IC Team works with cross-functional teams in support of sales opportunities, providing strategic input to the industry sales go-to-market plans. Business Operations supports this group by managing projects and programs, optimizing team processes, and measuring effectiveness through reporting.

      As an intern, you might:

      • Manage and/or support the development and execution of business strategies and/or programs; aligns scope with strategic business objectives and regularly report on status to management.
      • Identify and analyze the business needs of the department or business unit to develop plans for continuous improvement and to help determine solutions to business problems.
      • Manage operational tasks associated with project delivery.
      • Investigate options, recommend courses of action and drive implementation of initiatives related to continuous improvement, streamlining operations, and service delivery readiness and capabilities.
      • Review, analyze and synthesize policies, processes and guidance documents to facilitate understanding and usage by the business.
      • Leverage internal knowledge of corporate tools/systems, processes/procedures, methodologies and best practices to support the business.
      • Create and produce business reports and analysis on relevant areas of the organization and share them with appropriate stakeholders.
      • Collect and analyze standard and non-standard data related to assigned projects/programs.
      • May function as lead on execution of one or more established department processes.

      Required Qualifications

      • Currently pursuing Associates, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree
      • Targeted majors: Business Management, Business Administration, Communications, Finance
      • Attend a university partnering with the Going for Gold initiative
      • Work Hours: Available to work 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and full-time hours during the summer of 2024.
      • You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.
      • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
      • Leadership abilities. Your past experiences demonstrate you’ll take initiative and go above and beyond the call of duty.
      • You’re interested in the future of Analytics and embrace technology.
      • You’re a college student enrolled in an accredited program, not graduating prior to December 2024.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Some health care and / or life sciences industry knowledge or experience is a plus
      • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
      • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

      Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for SAS internships is determined by the applicant’s year in school and the position they are hired into. Hourly rates range from $15 – $31 for associate’s/bachelor’s level positions and $29 - $49/hour for master’s/Ph.D positions. Internship roles are not eligible for bonus.
