      Job summary

      Bean Medical Practice is located in Dudley. We are a small, friendly practice with a list size of 4000 patients

      Main duties of the job

      Working under the direct supervision of practice nurse and GP partners strictly in accordance wit specific practice guidelines and protocols, the healthcare assistance will assist the practice clinical team in the provision of patient care

      About us

      We are a small practice based near Dudley town. We have a small team consisting of 2 partners, practice nurse, practice manager, 4 reception staff and a secretary.

      Job responsibilities

      New patient health checks

      NHS Health Checks

      Screening for Atrial Fibrillation

      BP check & r/view

      Weight, Height and BP check.

      10 year CHD risk management and Risk calculation

      ECG recording

      Phlebotomy if necessary

      Spirometry

      Chaperoning duties

      Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording as advised

      Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being

      Undertaking specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual

      Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted

      Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being

      Essential

      • RGN Qualification
      • Current NMC registration
      • Accredited training in chronic disease management
      • Cervical cytology qualification

      Desirable

      • Accredited training in anticoagulation management

      • Interpersonal skills
      • Time Management
      • Knowledge of clinical governance
