- Wash and dress patients

- To assist under supervision in the delivery of nursing care in liaison with the multidisciplinary team.

- To maintain own personal development with support from ward/departmental manager
- Functional Skills Level 1 in Numeracy and Literacy or GCSEs Maths and English Grades A-E or 9-2.
- Evidence of being able to work well with other members of the team including communicating effectively, being kind and considerate, reliable and enthusiastic
- Evidence of good customer care skills/working with others in a supportive manner

Job summary
Healthcare Assistant Band 2 for Princess Royal University Hospital & South Sites only.
No experience? No problem. You don't need any healthcare experience to join us at King's as a Health Care Assistant (HCA). It is more important to us that you are a kind, respectful team player with a passion to want to help and support our patients, their families and colleagues. We will teach you everything you need to know.
As an HCA, youwill be a hugely valuable in supporting our Nursing and Midwifery teams providing care to our patients. Every day will be different and you will work alongside the rest of the team carrying out a wide range of tasks and assisting with care to support the needs of the patients and their families.

Main duties of the job
Day to day, you'll work under the supervision of our registered staff to help:
The role involves shift work (early shifts, late shifts, long days, nights and weekends) so the ability to work these shifts is essential.However, as an organisation we support flexible working and have both full and part time roles available.
With our comprehensive training and dedicated HCA education team, the HCA role can also lead to a variety of career opportunities. With the right support, those who want to can undertake the necessary training to become our future nursing associates, nurses and midwives.
