      Job summary

      An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 3 healthcare assistant to work in a regional nephrology and transplant unit, ward 7B.

      The post is open to band 2 HCA's who have recent experience of working in the acute setting and have completed or are willing to complete NVQ level 3.

      We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing high standards of nursing care and is keen to develop further. You must be an enthusiastic team player who has excellent communication and organisation skills.

      Main duties of the job

      Participate in all aspects of patient care

      Care and support transplant patients and their families pre and post operatively

      Clinical skills such as venepuncture, cannulation, ECG recordingParticipate in the rehabilitation of the patient

      Communicate effectively with all members of the multi disciplinary team
