Job summary
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and motivated Health Care Assistant to join our established excellent and caring team at The Valley Surgery. The hours of work are 16 per week and will include Tuesday mornings and Thursday and Friday afternoons. Occasional days starting at 7am, afternoons finishing at 8pm and Saturday sessions will be required.
Main duties of the job
We are ideally looking for someone with experience of working as an HCA in Primary Care but training and experience in phlebotomy is a minimum requirement. You will need good communication skills, your own transport to undertake home visits for phlebotomy, and be able to use your own initiative. You will work under the supervision of the nursing team and will be offered further training as required. The surgery operates SystmOne clinical system and knowledge of this would be desirable.
