      Job summary

      At Beauchief Medical Practice we are looking for a part time Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our GP Practice . The position is up to 20 hours per week and will involve working at both of our sites . We have one on Abbey Lane (S8) and one in Totley (S17)

      Health Care Assistants are a vital part of our clinical team and as such will feel fully integrated into our wider clinical team.

      Main duties of the job

      HCAs carry out duties as directed by a registered practitioner. The successful candidate will need to have the ability to work independently in a clinical environment running their own clinics but also work with the wider team member following protocols and systems to ensure patient care is delivered safely in a caring environment.

      About us

      Beauchief Medical Practice is a well-established family doctors surgery based in the heart of the busy and popular Woodseats area in S8 with a additional site in Totley S17 area. The role will involve working at both sites.

      Our team aims to provide healthcare with courtesy, care and efficiency . As a HCA , you will need to be compassionate, caring, professional and discrete, with a high level of clinical, administrative and organisational skills.

      • Phlebotomy
      • Vaccines - B12, Shingles , Pneumonia, Flu and Covid
      • Blood pressure checks
      • Urinalysis
      • Diabetic Foot Checks
      • Ear Syringing
      • Wound Care
      • Spirometry
      • Undertake home visits to housebound patients
      • Maintain stocking control for clinical rooms
      • Health promotion
      • keeping accurate patient records
      • Involved in the recall process
