      Job title: Health Manager

      Working under the direction of the Head Start & Early Head Start director, the Health Manager Oversees wellness tracking and reporting of wellness outcomes for special health and nutrition needs, delivers wellness individualization for enrolled EHS-EHSCCP-HS children and families offering consultation as needed in collaboration with a contracted Registered Nurse

      In this role you will:

      • Coordinates wellness, health, and nutrition services to enrolled children and families; Collaborates and works within the context designated context of a Content Management team and in coordination with a contracted Registered Nurse:
      • Oversees wellness tracking and reporting of wellness outcomes for special health and nutrition needs,
      • Delivers wellness individualization for enrolled EHS-EHSCCP-HS children and families offering consultation as needed in collaboration with a contracted Registered Nurse,
      • Monitors and analyzes the status of all enrolled children’s wellness: health, oral health, and nutrition status,
      • Utilizes program consultants to expand wellness systems/ services as required for State Regulations and Head Start Performance Standards.
      • Coordinates wellness documentation, and provides quality assurance activities, Coordinates with disability, mental health, family engagement and child development services (One Child, One Family, One Team)
      • Assists the program in planning, developing, and monitoring program services, policies, and procedures.
      • Contributes to the delivery of Health Advisory Committee (HSAC) sub-committee on a quarterly basis, Participates as a member of the HSAC within Maricopa County, Works under general direction, according to agency mission, philosophy, Core Values, Codes of Ethics, and goals.

      What it takes:

      • BA/ BS in ECE, Education, Human Development, Family Development with either an emphasis in ECE or Family Development, Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
      • Knowledge of Developmentally Appropriate Practices related to early childhood health and wellness.
      • Functional knowledge of Daycare Licensing Requirements
      • Knowledge of Department of Child Safety reporting mandates
      • Ability to speak, write, and read Spanish preferred.
      • Certification in First Aid and CPR, and Food Handler’s
      • Possess an insured & reliable vehicle and a valid AZ driver’s license.
      • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card - OR - must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
