      About (The Gauteng Service Team)

      The Gauteng Service team (Gau ST) is primarily situated in Sandton, but also has team members in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), Cape Town (CPT), and Port Elizabeth (PE). It is one of four regional service teams that focus on delivering excellent, world-class service to members, Health Professionals, and other stakeholders at all touchpoints in their journey. The Gau ST serves as the Center of Excellence for both Health Professional and Corporate Field Force, allowing for collaboration and alignment on field force strategies.

      The team prides itself on professional customer service, upholding the values of the organization, and delivering on organizational targets and strategies.       Key Purpose

      • To lead a team of Health professional account managers in KZN to deliver against key strategic business priorities.
      • To develop best in class account management talent through a strong focus on in-field coaching and upskilling the team.
      • Drive delivery of projects and outcomes linked to key strategic business priorities.
      • To build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

      Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

      • Maintaining an expert knowledge of the Health Professional customer market and the business initiatives that fall under the Health Professional Field Force business unit.
      • Creation of regional and national field force strategies to ensure business targets are met.
      • Leading a team of senior account managers, account, associate specialist and staff level account managers
      • Complete and average of 4 coaching sessions per staff member per month in the field, conducting advanced coaching and working with the field force team with regards to best practice strategic customer engagement techniques.
      • Conducting needs assessments with respect to knowledge & skills gaps across the team, and working with the Health Professional Enablement team and Field Force trainer to ensure these needs are met.
      • Working with the regional Health Professional Executive on key strategic projects on an ongoing basis.
      • Compiling executive summaries and reports on projects and strategies.
      • Escalation management and ongoing ownership of key strategic customer relationships e.g., doctor advocates, key opinion leaders
      • Performing all direct line management responsibilities - e.g., bi-annual performance conversations, strategic product delivery, drive staff engagement and team sentiment, and leading, tracking and trending field force operations
      • Building and managing relationships with key senior internal stakeholders to effectively drive overall business strategies and translate these into effective deliverables to ensure successful execution thereof.
      • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes.
      • Creating and retaining strong external Health Professional relationships. Conference and event collaboration

      Education and Experience

      Minimum

      • A minimum of eight years working experience of which at least two years should be in people management.
      • Experience in performance coaching
      • Experience in an account management or sales position
      • Knowledge of the Healthcare industry

      Advantageous

      • Would preferably have experience of in-field coaching in an account management or sales environment.
      • Tertiary Education/NQF7 (Life Sciences or Clinical)
      • Knowledge of Discovery products
      • 3-4 years’ customer service experience
