- Post graduate degree level qualifications in social or behavioural sciences, evaluation, health sciences or other relevant discipline with a strong research and evaluation component.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in research, evaluation, implementation, development, and project management.
- Proficient in the full Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and extensive experience with Office 365.
- Knowledge, experience or understanding of key early childhood settings and the key issues that impact service delivery.
- High-level stakeholder management skills with excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with a range of diverse stakeholders. Highly developed skills in prioritisation, organisation, complex problem solving, time management and completing tasks to deadlines.
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently with minimum supervision and to work effectively in a team.
- Understanding of issues that impact on service delivery in relation to social disadvantage, Aboriginal and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.
- NSW Class C driver’s license and willing to use for work purposes.

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Research Officer to support the data collection and implementation of the Prevention Research Project First Bite, in partnership with the University of Wollongong, which is being offered to our Early Childhood Education and Care Services (ECECs) involved in the state-wide program Munch & Move. Additionally, it will support the Early Years team to obtain important demographic data from our Western Sydney services to help inform how we support our services who need it most.What you'll be doing
The purpose of this position is to work primarily with the Early Years portfolio with a key responsibility to help obtain important demographic data to inform how to implement the NSW Health Munch & Move program in Early Childhood Education and Care services across western Sydney. This position will also support the data collection and implementation of the First Bite Research Project in partnership with the University of Wollongong and other Local Health Districts.How to Apply
