- Licensure: Current RN or LPN Licensure in Pennsylvania
- Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
- Experience with school aged children
- Clerical and computer skills
- Is able to independently read, write, speak and comprehend the English language
- To follow health room procedures as outlines in the East Penn School District Standing Orders for sick and/or injured students and personnel
- To provide emergency care to students and staff when necessary
- To advise the building nurse when a serious situation arises that would need contact with a parent and/or physician
- To administer medication to students in accordance with the procedures as outlined in the East Penn School District Use of Medication Policy
- To request assistance from the building nurse when there is a question concerning the response to a health problem
- To keep building nurse apprised of appropriate information regarding health room management
- To assist the building nurse in establishing and/or maintaining each student’s health record
- To inform relevant staff of the disposition of ill or injured students
- To assume other responsibilities as directed by the Director of Student Services and/or the building nurse
- To learn and perform new procedures as they become necessary in the care of students with special medical needs
- The employee will be required to follow any other job related instructions and to perform any other job related duties requested by the Director of Student Services or Certified School Nurse.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, lift, reach, communicate (vision, hearing, and speech), carry or convey sufficient weight to safely and effectively carry out functions, duties, and responsibilities
- Ability to independently ambulate in and around school buildings and office areas
- Can independently travel between locations in the Lehigh Valley without public transportation
- Can stand/walk for lengthy periods of time Hours:

Position Summary: To assist the building nurse to provide every student in the East Penn School District with the opportunity to achieve their best possible level of wellness. 10 month position, non-exempt, hourly
