- Establishes and maintains contacts and relationships with referral sources for health services including physicians, hospitals, skilled and other nursing facilities, and community resources.
- Performs prospecting calls, meets with prospective healthcare facilities, and assists with sign-up and onboarding of new client facilities; develops robust pipeline of prospective client facilities.
- Focuses on marketing and client sales activities directed towards prospective healthcare facilities using telephone, email and in-person follow-up.
- Connects with administrators, directors of nursing services, and directors of case management in the community on an ongoing basis to ensure client satisfaction.
- Markets to and builds relationships with staff at hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and local and private clients in the community to help grow a profitable hospice business.
- Proficient in interpreting and analyzing data; prepares and conducts presentations regarding agency programs and outcome data to organizations where prospective patients and clients might be reached and influenced.
- Implements business development strategies to sell services to and secure measured growth in target markets with large, complex referral and payer organizations; able to use data-driven decision making to determine strategies for achieving referral goals.
- Assists in the development, marketing and implementation of an organized plan for initiating referrals from new sources and increasing referrals from established referral sources.
- Collaborative with marketing activities including presentations, community events, and other events.
- Requires significant drive time throughout designated territory in Kansas and Missouri in either personal auto or JKV leased auto.
- Adheres to all safety regulations and requirements.
- Handles stress well and gets along with others within the workplace and with customers outside the department.
- Maintains acceptable standards of workplace conduct.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Marketing or related field preferred.
- This position requires use of personal vehicle or JKV leased vehicle with valid driver’s license.
- Work experience in Home Health or Hospice preferred, with knowledge of regulatory compliance.
- Prior healthcare business development or sales experience in home healthcare, nursing homes, hospice or infusion services preferred.
- Established connections within Missouri hospice services, long term care, skilled nursing facilities or similar facilities and hospitals preferred.
- Ability to educate consumers, referral sources and the general public on a continuum of health care services with persistent follow-up and solutions-based interface with prospective customers.
- Demonstrated excellent communication, organization, negotiating, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be self-directed requiring minimal supervision.
- Complies with ethical standards of practice.
- Demonstrates excellence in education, coordination, and communication skills.
- Intermediate keyboarding skills and knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
- Advanced customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations is required.
- Ability to apply business math (fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions) to practical situations.
- Significant amount of driving, otherwise, primarily in an office environment.
- Will need to drive a personal or JKV leased vehicle 100% on and off campus.
- All associates may be called upon to assist other departments in a declared emergency.
- Able to drive a car frequently.
- Standing and/or walking up to one-third of each day.
- Sitting for up to two-thirds of each day.
- Extensive use of fingers and hands for using a computer keyboard and/or writing.
- Occasional reaching with hands and arms.
- Occasional kneeling, stooping or crouching.
- Frequent speaking and hearing.
- Must be able to occasionally lift boxes or other materials weighing up to 25 pounds.

Full-Time, Exempt Position
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for attaining overall sales objectives and revenue growth, measured on a quarterly basis. Collaborates with administrator of agencies and clinical manager to stay abreast of all agency marketing programs. Utilizes sales acumen and strategic skills to develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with high level executives/influencers in health care facilities, systems, and communities in the area. Responsible for the establishment of new referral sources. Supportive of the Village’s mission, values, and service/hospitality (PRIDE) expectations. Completes training as required by policy.
