      Job summary

      Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is the largest provider of children's public health nursing services in the North East of England. We are currently recruiting Health Visitors to the County Durham 0-5 Team. The roles are in several bases in South Durham, including Barnard Castle and Bishop Auckland. Various hours are available.

      Current SCPHN Students do not need to apply.

      Main duties of the job

      We are looking for new colleagues who possess strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to delegate and supervise staff, as well as the ability to recognise and escalate risk and contribute to control measures.

      You must possess a full UK driving licence and have access to your own transport in order to meet service needs

      Essential

      • Specialist Community Public Health Nurse Qualification (HV) or equivalent Evidence of continuing professional development.
      • NMC registration
      • Highly developed specialist knowledge relevant to working with children and families underpinned by theory.
      • Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams.
      • Minimum 2 years Post Registration experience.

      Desirable

      • Evidence of Continued Professional development
      • Nurse Prescribing
      • Experience in leading teams in the provision of health services to children, young people and families.
