      Job summary

      Are you a compassionate and skilled Healthcare Assistant ready to make a difference in a vibrant General Practice environment? We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our dedicated team, providing exceptional care and support to our patients.

      Qualifications/Personal Attributes:

      • Experience in General Practice is preferred but not essential.
      • SystmOne experience is preferred.
      • Healthcare qualification (Level 3 or 4) or working towards this, or equivalent.
      • Excellent communication skills and effective time management.
      • Ability to work both in a team and autonomously.
      • Ability to follow clinical policy and procedure.
      • Flexible, with high levels of integrity and loyalty.
      • Sensitive, empathetic, and able to work under pressure.

      Working Hours:

      • Up to 37.5 hours per week, with part-time applications considered.
      • Salary dependent on experience.

      Main duties of the job

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Conduct long-term condition reviews, ensuring comprehensive and patient-centred care.
      • Provide wound care and dressings with precision and empathy.
      • Administer vaccinations, including flu, RSV, pneumococcal, and COVID-19.
      • Administer B12 injections

      • Undertake ECGs as requested by the practice

      • Act as a chaperone when required, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
      • Assist administratively with stock take, stock ordering, and restocking rooms.
      • Monitor and check fridge temperatures to maintain optimal storage conditions.
