      Job summary

      We are looking for two enthusiastic and dependable HCA's to join our team. We have two positions available to work 16hrs per week.

      Position 1 - Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu

      Position 2 - Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri

      Experience working within General Practice or a hospital setting is required.

      Main duties of the job

      As an experienced Health Care Assistant you will have pre-booked clinics to see patients at the practice. You will have experience of conducting health reviews, wound care reviews, measuring blood pressure, taking blood tests, dealing with chronic health conditions, and it would be advantageous if able to administer flu vaccines and B12 injections.

      North Preston Medical Practice is a large family friendly, high achieving practice, with a dedicated team of caring staff. You will be a member of a very dedicated team which includes 5 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 3 Practice Nurses, 1 Nursing Associate, 1 HCA, 1 Clinical Pharmacist, a dedicated Pharmacy Technician Team and a robust management / clerical team.

      In May 2023 we were rated as number 2 in a Lancashire Evening Post review of GP Practices in and around Preston, North Preston Medical Practice are proud of the care we give our Patients. We are active members of the Greater Preston Primary Care Network and a long and well established training practice and a silver partner with Manchester University.

      REPORTS TO: Nursing team / Deputy Practice Manager

      HOURS: 2 positions at 16hrs per week

      JOB DESCRIPTION:

      You will be passionate about maintaining high quality and effective customer/patient services. You will require excellent communication skills and must be able to work under pressure.

      You will be required to cover holidays and sickness at short notice and be as flexible as possible.

      • Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being
